General Description:
Thick blonde hair falls in silky waves to Larnell's shoulders, framing a narrow but defined face -- high cheek bones, a fair nose, full lips and small ears hidden away behind the strands. His eyes are an intense shade of grey, thinly lashed but with heavy eyebrows. There is the tiniest of clefts in his chin, barely visible and occasionally hidden by a day's growth. Larnell's body is made up of long, slim limbs that took most of his adolescence to grow into. His fingers are long and nimble, and while he's not a fanatic about keeping fit, he's a decent runner.General Dressing Style:
Freed from the constraints of being the Heir of his Hold, Larnell now wears whatever he damn well fancies, with a strong preference for soft and comfortable shirts -- with none of the fanfare that was the current fashion at the Hold -- and loose comfortable pants. General Personality:
Intelligent and well educated, Larnell can come across as cocky because he's not very good at pretending not to know things, and due to his interest in a wide range of topics, he does know a lot more than the average person. Larnell isn't actually cocky, or a knowitall, and gets a bit pouty and upset when he's accused of such things, often frowning - an expression that is often at home on his features.Larnell has known love, but he also has a close relationship with grief and he does his best to live every day to the best, knowing that at any moment the rug could be pulled out from under his feet, and he doesn't want to have any regrets. As such, he's quick to smile and easy to amuse, and while he can become a raging bull when provoked he usually doesn't hold a grudge. Overall, Larnell feels strongly and without reserve and wears his emotions on his sleeve for everyone to see.
While Larnell misses his mother and siblings intently - they all had a strong bond - he harbours a strong dislike for his father and the pressures that were put on his shoulders by the man. Regardless, he has hope for the future and is eagerly looking forward to the world opened up before him at the Weyr. He is no longer Heir, but he is also no longer bound by the chains that have passed to his younger brother.

742.01.15, 20 - after more miscarriages than either of them care to count, Azende finally carries a child to term, only for it to be a stillborn son. Due to complications, Azende doesn't survive the birth.
742.01.17, 20 - Malarn - Larnell's father - is immediately on him to remarry, something he's been hinting at for Larnell to do since Azende's first miscarriage. Grieving for his wife and child, Larnell doesn't hold his tongue and the pair have a huge blowout that results in a lot of simmering anger and harsh words. Larnell refuses to speak to his father for several days, before being confronted. They have another loud, long argument where Larnell calls his father's bluff and tells him to make Malarid the heir, to disown him if that's what will make him happy. Malaran does.
742.02.01, 20 - Having spent the past handful of days avoiding his father at all costs, Larnell is packed up and ready to leave when his uncle conveniently decides to visit the family. With little coaxing, Larnell soon finds himself atop the blue dragon, and leaving his family for the last time. He promises to visit his mother when they can in Benden Hold.
