Hello loves! While I haven't been writing, I have been working on updating some issues that have been hanging around on the layout! The Character change box is now at the bottom of the page, beside the up/down arrows! Green and Gold dragon flight dates have been shifted to the bottom of the page, where the (useless!) discord widget was located. Where the dragon flights were in the header, is now replaced by a Monthly Event box! This will be updated at the start of each month, with a fun mini-event you can take part in, if you want to! Lazerat is of a slender build and rather average in height but cuts a striking figure all the same thanks to various hobbies developing muscle and keeping him trim and not too thin or even too soft like other holders of his rank. He also prefers to keep his hair long, around the shoulder, to help give him a more unique look while quietly annoying many of his betters.General Dressing Style:
Lazerat will try to adapt to the situation—which mostly means that when it’s hot, he removes a shirt and when it’s cold, he puts on a coat. He likes his tailored-to-fit clothing that are almost always kept up in style. Lazerat cares deeply for those close to him. His little sister Zelana gets the brunt of this as he cherishes her endlessly and wants nothing more than to keep her safe and happy. This often comes across as over-protective and he’s punched more than one face in the name of defending her honour. Some of that quick-to-anger does come from a hint of jealousy that an unworthy man was with his sister but mostly, he’s wrapped around Zelana’s finger and will do what he can for her.Underneath that angry reaction, Lazerat is an adventurous sort that would prefer to be out exploring or having fun in the ocean instead of cooped up inside learning. He did his part of learning the tricks of the trade under his father but his heart was never fully in it. But he’s expected to know it so he does as he can't fully ditch his responsibilities. Even as he grew older, Lazerat was still more likely to be found scaling a cliff or diving off of one into the ocean than he was shadowing his dad and looking at merchandise.
But whether borne of guilt or a sense of responsibility finally grabbing hold of him and doing the right thing, Lazerat started going on shorter trips to see more what it was like aboard the ships and getting his hands more into the business. He found it surprisingly blended well with his interests and oddly freeing when away from port. He does what is expected of him but he still can't turn down a bit of fun.

722: Lazerat is born into a well to do merchant family.724 age 2: His sister is born. At first he didn’t like sharing the attention but at her first giggle, he thought maybe she wasn’t so bad after all.
728 age 6: Falls out of a tree, breaking an arm. His mom tries to keep him from doing such things but as soon as he’s mended, Lazerat is back out climbing everything he can.
732 age 10: He continues to lead a fairly normal childhood, teaching his sister to swim when not stuck in lessons.
736 age 14: Starts fooling around with a kitchen girl at the tavern. His father learns of it and says such dalliances are fine to fill up a quiet night but that he needed to look closer to his own station for a proper match and work on being a bit more discreet.
738 age 16: While he had discovered girls a few years earlier, Lazerat now has to deal with Zelana discovering boys. He solves a lot of that by fighting the bastards.
739 age 17: He practically encourages the rumours that he has a secret girlfriend that he got pregnant when he finds the requested herbs for his sister. No one needs to know the truth though he does his best disappointed face at Zelana when he delivers them.
740 age 18: His interest in getting out of the Hold grows and Lazerat finds opportunities aboard some of the vessels they family business deals with. He tells his father that seeing the trade routes in person will help him better learn the ins and outs of the business.
741 age 19: Rumours that Zelana was now sleeping with her own brother spread. Their parents don’t believe any of it but still send her to the Weyr. Lazerat debated following her but instead commits himself to sailing, taking longer journeys than he used to so he wouldn’t have to acknowledge Zelana’s departure or see his parents that much.
742 age 20: His parents start pushing marriage on him and he has to start courting various prospects.
743 age 21: His sister is attacked and he realises he needs to be in the Weyr as well to help keep her safe. When K'dar and A'tay get leadership at Igen Weyr, A'tay convinces K'dar to bring Lazerat on as an expert for shipping import/exports.
