General Description:
Large and clear blue eyes, they often can look vacant when she’s lost in thought but can also be rather intent if glaring.Chestnut in that reaches down about mid-back. Often worn loose unless it’s needed to be out of her face, then she ties it back or pulls it into a braid. If going to a Gather of some sort, Katiryn will take the time to put it up in elaborate styles.
Not a classical beauty, Katiryn has a rounder face with full cheeks, a nose that’s a bit larger than the usual dainty cute noses most girls have, and fuller eyebrows. Her favourite facial feature would be her lips that are plump and full and she accentuates this fact by wearing lip stains that the Ladies in Holds sport. When she wants to be even fancier, she might add eyeliner, again emulating the Ladies that she views as fashion icons.
She’s on the curvier side though hardly fat with well-proportioned assets for her slightly shorter frame, though most of her height is found in her legs.
General Dressing Style:
Anything that suits her at the moment. She loves cute things, usually dresses, and of a finer make. Lace and soft materials fill her wardrobe though they aren’t really practical for everyday Weyr life so she does have some more mundane dresses and even pants for when she has to work.

Sweets: Chocolate is her absolute favourite food, no lie! Sweet breads, cookies, and cakes rank pretty high as well and will do in a pinch if something chocolate-flavoured isn’t available.
Crafts: As in arts and crafts. She doesn’t have the attention span to learn an actual Craft but she enjoys building little things with her hands though she’d never call herself talented or an artist. Lately, she has taken a shining to needlework though it’s more basic patterns on quilts than fancy embroidery, though she keeps trying.

Sweet: Katiryn is kind and cares deeply for her friends. She does her best to be that way for everyone but it doesn’t always work.

As sweet as can be, when she needs to be, though she is a genuinely nice girl. She cares about her friends and looks after her little brother whenever needed as she likes to be useful and lift the burden from loved ones.Her father thinks she can do no wrong and spoils her rotten, indulging her whims and desires for the newest item that catches her eye. She has been known to take advantage of that on occasion but for the most part she watches what she asks for so K’tir doesn’t finally put his foot down. But it is easy to bat her eyes and play up the innocent little girl he still thinks her to be and she’ll forever play that role if she can. Katiryn might keep things from her father but it’s because she loves him dearly and doesn’t want to break his heart.
While daddy dearest has his own naughty streak that Katiryn knows about thanks to gossip, he doesn’t need to know about her own and it always amuses her when he tries to keep her from spending too much time from known ‘whore’ Casa. While not nearly as extreme as her friend, Katiryn finds sex to be a perfectly good way to pass the time and doesn’t have a steady lover, though she does have some steady crushes that will doubtful become anything more. Since she’s never lived full time with K’tir, it’s been easy to sneak around and get into all sorts of mischief without him knowing or her good girl reputation everyone else believes being ruined.
All that said, she can come across as rather fed up with some people or situations once her tolerance has been reached or she’s feeling left out. That’s when her spoiled side can start to show. She’s also easily frustrated when learning something new, finding herself to be stupid by not being able to pick up a new hobby or skill right away and whine to whomever is with her about her failings.

722 & Born: Katiryn is born from a fling that took place at an end of year 721 celebration. Her father claims her immediately as he tries to prove to himself that he’s a better man than his ex.727 & 5: Her dad Impresses to the first Hatching since the plague! Ghaeth is the coolest dragon ever! But she doesn’t get to spend too much time with them for a while as they do the whole weyrling thing and Ghaeth learns to share.
728-733 & 6-11: She leads a pretty dull and normal life. She’s a bit of a princess, preferring to watch her friends play in the mud than join in when she’s not sitting through boring Harper lessons. Those make her almost want to roll around in the mud instead.
734 & 12: The landslide strikes in the middle of the night. Somehow, she survives, along with her mother but some friends are lost. She stays out of the way during the rescuing and rebuilding, stepping up only when asked.
735 & 15: Adjusting to life in a real Weyr is odd and she misses the open forest around Katila. But it has its own fun and mysteries that keep her occupied.
736 & 14: Wants to move to Ista Weyr where her dad was transferred to. She misses the beach and warmth of Katila and her dad spoils her, though she doesn’t live with him.
739 & 17: The fires in Ista terrify her. She understands there isn’t a chance for them to reach her in the Weyr but her dad and many friends are out there, sometimes with little sleep and she worries it will be like the landslide again where she loses someone close to her. Thankfully, it doesn’t happen and she only has to deal with the traumas brought on by the two major Hatchings she Stood at. If it wasn’t for Mylorah’s quick thinking, Katiryn knows she would have been mauled by the gold in Telgar.
740 & 18: Reluctantly Stands for Thallyath’s maiden clutch. Her father wasn’t too thrilled with the idea but Katiryn knew that was his hatred of blueriders talking—something that often motivated her into purposely seeking blueriders out behind his back to give herself a little thrill. She’s friends with Nerreh and Casa and wants to support them. She wishes she didn’t later on and now has another Hatching to add to the nightmares.
