General Description:

Eyes: Rikaraman’s eyes are a deep brown that verge on black, they are well spaced and almond in shape.

Hair: Black and messy, Rikaraman’s hair is mostly short and occasionally long.

Height: Slightly above average, coming in at 6’2”

General Appearance: Rikaraman is a tall man, standing slightly above the Pern average for male height, coming in at 6’2”. He is long legged, long armed and possesses a trim fit body type. Broad shoulders taper to a trim midsection and slim hips. His large hands contain, fingers that are blunt tipped and slender. His face is rather long with high sharp cheekbones that end in a square chin.

General Dressing Style:

Comfort is R’kar first choice. He does enjoy himself nicely styled clothing and can be often found in supply leather pants and linen shirts. He can be rather flamboyant in his dressing style for hatching and graduation parties, clothing for these types of things tend to loudly marked and colorful.

He remembers (though vaguely) those that lived at Fort. Remembered they were rather fun little buggers.

Strengths:

Mutitasking:
R’kar is highly capable of multitasking and often has one or two projects going at once, though it often does not seem that way.
Direction taking:
When given direction well, R’kar is firm in his action. He generally will not waver from the task or direction given to him unless he is unable to.
Enthusiastic:
R’kar is enthusiastic about everything he sinks his teeth into. Be it a project, a lover or something as simple as an after party clean up, R’kar tosses himself into it with a bright enthusiasm.

Felines:
Had a run in with felines that left him shaken and with a general dislike of the creatures
Whers:
Considers them stupid and ill formed. Something that definitely should have been killed off long ago.
Bronzeriders:
Dislikes most bronzers at a general level. R’kar thinks of them as arrogant and snotty motherfuckers.

Boundaries:
R’kar doesn’t really have boundaries nor does he understand the need for others to have them. He is in the firm camp that everyone should like everyone.
Socially Inept:
Because of his boundaries issues, R’kar often comes across as being unable to function properly within a social setting. He thinks of himself as the life of the party when in fact he really isn’t.
Disorganized:
R’kar is not the most organized person out there. This manifests from riding harnesses to projects. It’s not uncommon to find R’kar’s hut in varying states of disarray with clothing and harnesses tossed about or any manner of his current project covering strewn here and there.

Habits & Mannerisms:

Taps his foot with impatience. Often can be found with the tip of his tongue sticking out of the corner of his mouth with intense concentration.

General Personality:

R'kar is a high energy and a enthusiastic lover of life. He can be some what tiresome as he bursts through his day on a whirlwind of activity. He flitters from one task to the next with a smile on his face and an urgency that often is more than needed for the assignment. Though he often seems to be air headed and simple minded, R'kar is rather intelligent and fully capable of in depth and insightful conversations. R'kar never wavers from a task once given, provided the directions are firm and not countermanded by another.

He has a talent for creating things, whether useful or not, the items are generally well made and artfully crafted. Most often these items are decorative and functional, such as an artfully carved table or chair. His talent makes it easier to socialize in a general manner, though his lack of personal space makes him rather annoying and irksome. Unfortunately, R'kar does not understand nor care that his exuberant personality can be somewhat tedious.

Important History:

712 & 0:
Born to blurider, R’kem and weyrfolk Minaka after a lost flight. Spends much of his toddlerhood in the crèche, with visits from his mother and father often.
715 & 3:
Does not understand where all the firelizards have gone. His mother’s small green goes between one day and never returns. The sickening of the dragon’s goes unnoticed by the toddler.
716 & 4:
Is exiled south with siblings, father and mother with the rest of the weyrs.
717 – 719 & 5-7:
He and his family survive in solitude. Rikaraman has a run in with a particularly nasty wher, survives thanks to the quick intervention of Ascarth and R’kem. Both Rikaraman and Ascarth comes away with minor scrapes.
720 & 8:
Brother is born. R’kem and Ascarth reluctantly ferry their family to Nirinath at the golds call. Assists father in building hut.
721 & 9:
Firehead sweeps through the population of Katila, claiming the life of Minaka.
722 & 10:
Nothing fairly important happens to Rikaraman in this year.
723 & 11:
Listens to his fathers grumbles about the lack of a clutch, mostly with half an ear though he is curious as to why there is no clutch. Older brother has nasty run in with a feline. Nearly loses leg due to infection.
724 & 12:
Begins to show concern about the loss of dragon life. Would they all perish?
725 & 13:
Barely manages to escape a destroyed hut. Shaken Rikaraman remained unharmed. The boys and their sister assist R’kem in rebuilding their hut.
726 & 14:
Discovers girls, such an exciting thing. Is afraid for the life of Ascarth when the brown becomes sick. If they lost Ascarth to illness surely their father would be next. Finds the situation with Tsuen’s hut quite entertaining. Catches firehead, survives.
727 & 15:
Finally! Nirinath rises and a modest clutch is laid. Rikaraman stands, does not impress and is unperturbed by it. The stolen northerns are of no consequence to Rikaraman, the more the merrier.
728 & 16:
The loss of dragons during training is not really a concern to Rikaraman. He has no fear of such, should he impress. He’s not a complete moron after all.
729 & 17:
Has a damn good time at the graduation of the clutch. Possible ‘brat may have come from this.
730 & 18:
Oh oh, somebody got in trouble! Was a little astonished that B’jin thought it bring over a master healer, though in the end he could see the benefits of having a master healer as a dragonrider.
731 & 19:
Woot! Nirinath rises again. Rikaraman is a little more excited at the prospect of standing for the hatching. Maybe he’ll get lucky this time. Was put off when B’jin was lashed publicly. Listen to his father rant about the absurdness of the action. The clutch hatches, Rikaraman is once again without a dragon, shrugs it off. A gold was hatched, it could only mean more clutches once she was mature enough, plenty of time for impressing!
732 & 20:
Found Larrikith’s fake flight incredibly funny. Was a little shocked by the fact Krypth took to the skies so very young. Quite unusual, that. Was just as outraged as the others when Tsuen ordered a candidate lashed, woman was batshit crazy no doubt about it. Krypth’s very small clutch hatches and Rikaraman impresses the only blue in the clutch, Brixith. The boy was ecstatic! A blue like R’kem, who was just as proud of his boy. Beefs up his attention span while between training when Iruvia and her green is lost.
733 & 21:
Sire’s his first known ‘brat on a kitchen worker. Wonders how the double clutches were going to work out. Weren’t golds terribly territorial on the sands?
734 & 22:
Nearly misses the hatching of the double clutch, damn kitchen workers were a lusty lot. Enjoys his own graduation celebrations with a bang. He and Brixith win their first flight, shortly there after. First sexual encounter with the same sex. Discovers he’s not adverse to the thought. He and Brixith barely manage to survive the landslide that took the lives of so many. Brixith’s hide dulled to a nearly white blue as the stress and sadness of the keening went on for hours and hours. Is thrilled when the weyr begins to move north, goes for a few personal recon missions to check things out, receiving imagery from R’kem. Not all too sure he’d enjoy living up there every season. Remains south for the most part with the rest of R’nya’s wing.

With several shades of pale yellow and brown on a light grey base, it looks like a young child has gone and placed their fingertips all over the egg. The spots, while faint, aren’t perfect and are smeared and blurry looking.

Brixith was a deep blue during weyrling hood with splashes of the color he would eventually molt to.

Adulthood

Brixith did not molt out at all like R’kar expected. Instead of retaining his dark coloring, Brixith molted almost completely the pale blue of the splashes he had during weyrling hood. He did retain some of the dark coloring as seen in splashes here and there along his wings and tail.

Mindvoice

Smooth as bourbon, Brixith has a deep voice that contrasts with his small stature. He speaks precisely and well.

Personality

Brixith is a rather happy individual. Happy with his rider, happy or rather indifferent with his station in life, and happy his friends. His is a even and steady temperament that contrasts strikingly with his hyper active rider, though his wouldn't have it any other way. He is often reminding his rider of the various things that R'kar forgets in the whirlwind that is the man's mind. Brixith has become very adept in rifling through R'kar's mind to find the right memory.

Brixith is often found with children hanging from his tail and climbing along his back or balancing on his pale nose. More often than not, the sight brings a long suffering sigh and shake of the head to R'kar though the man never curtails the dragon or children's play. Brixith dislikes dogs enough that the normally peaceful dragon has been known to snap at the curs with disgust and anger.

Quirks

Habits/Mannerisms: Taps his talons. Much like a person tapping their foot, Brixith has taken to tapping a talon when agitated. The faster the tap the more agitated the dragon. It seems to be a habit picked up from his rider.

Though his rider often exasperates him, R’kar is by far Brixith’s most favorite thing.
Mud:
Surprisingly Brixith is a huge fan of mud and often can be found rolling about in the muck.
Children:
Brixith adores the children of the weyr and is often found in the company of the various crèche women in charge of the little beasts.

Outside the chaos of children and flights, Brixith is not one who enjoys chaos. He much prefers to sit in a relaxed state
Firelizards:
Unlike his rider, Brixith finds the little creatures troublesome and agitating.
Dogs:
Not a fan of the smelly beasts and is more apt to eat one than play with one.

Because of Brixith's uneven height to wingspan ratio, he is clumsy and gangly on the ground.

Brixith has no ambition. He does not care one way or another about his station in life, it is what it is.

Brixith believes a frighteningly amount of things told to him, whether it is truth or not. It matters not whether the information is spoken by humans or dragons
