"I can certainly understand why one would keep that information from him," said Gangleri in an amused tone. "He didn't take kindly to a certain joke I'd cracked and tried to hit me. Was quite the entertaining little spat." It was a rather fond memory, but mostly because it was the first place time he'd encountered his ghost, his bewitching sorceress. And K'dar had just been too angry to be more than comedic, at least for the Harper. "I'm not entirely sure he's aware of the sorts of tours she tends to give me whenever I visit. Probably not since he hasn't tried to hit me again. Then again maybe he's just... mellowed?" He certainly seemed quite mellow tonight at least.
At the narrowing of the lordling's eyes and the subsequent dismissal, Gangleri couldn't help but frown. He reviewed their conversation up to that point and gave a small bow of his head. He supposed he had been a bit initially tense, and not as guarded with his expressions when the word blackmail had popped up. It made sense that Yfris would have been paying attention and discerning enough to have caught it. "I did not mean to cause any offense. Normally when a lord makes a point to tell me that something is just a friendly chat and definitely not blackmail they tend to either mean the opposite, or are implying that they have something else to provide blackmail for. But a quick consideration of you and I dismissed the possibility and moved on. You seem far too honest, and... well to be frank you are quite correct in regards to blackmail being too much work. I imagine you would want to be a bit more efficient if you ever were motivated to take some sort of action against someone, or have someone else handle it for you. That is, if you ever reached that point."
Gangleri shrugged again, studying Yfris for a moment, considering the possibilities for a moment. "You have hosted a very fine party, and I would be remiss if I did not properly pay my own form of tribute by offering entertainment of some sort. But again, I'm just not as experienced enough to be know if offering to fuck a man is considered polite or proper protocol for these sorts of events. And even if I am motivated by my audience's enjoyment, I would like to point to my earlier performance with your sleeping beauty as a sign of my ability to perform despite distractions and audiences." If the lordling kept telling him to go then he would, but now he was almost wondering if he didn't want to because he was stubborn, or if he found the young man's figure appealing. That would be something he'd have to think about when he was more sober, he thought. Perhaps with another visit to see Gail.
