It was only a little disappointing when the gold passed her by, but Ferra reminded herself that what she really wanted was to impress near her family. That and she had plenty of time. She'd much rather be happy for August than sad for herself, after all they both had spent time in the infirmary together and helped keep each other entertained after the poisoning. She was happy the woman had found her lifemate, and she gave August a small wave before she managed to walk off.
At least things seemed to be going much better now, the dragonets were impressing just like they ought to with only a few little silly shenanigans that were rather harmless. Most of it was rather cute, especially the little green that went off to go attack the swishing tail of a larger dragon. She'd turned away from it to watch the others, which was probably her biggest mistake she realized as suddenly there was a screech and a thud from behind her, claws raking into her left leg as the dragonet stormed heedlessly past and through her and a few other candidates.
She gritted her teeth through the pain, doing her best to try and scramble back up to her feet so she could either pretend things were fine or find a place to hide. Someone was picking her up in a way that infuriatingly reminded her of D'io and she was carried to a healer station for some numbweed and stitches.
Ferra lost count of how many stitches she was getting, but between those and the fact that the gold had already made her appearance, she didn't think she wanted to continue standing. The healer's snarky commentary that under no circumstance was she to stand without assistance anyway when she mentioned it only confirmed that. With a sigh and a grumble she agreed to let a drudge carry her out so that she could at least find somewhere comfortable to rest and see her family. Hopefully the numbweed wouldn't be wearing off any time soon.
