Gangleri wondered if it was odd that he had been rather invested in the fight between the bronze and his siblings. There was just something interesting about the posturing, the motions, the aggression, the frustration, the fear. Not that he thought it was good that the violence had erupted at all, but rather that there was a lot of raw emotion without the aid of human faces. He watched, fascinated, mentally keeping notes on the overall stances, the tension obviously held in limbs, the timing, the sudden bursts of movements. He had some thespian students who were having trouble expressing tone and emotion through masks and this gave him ideas for how to help them make the breakthrough they needed.
Hopefully the babies would be fine, they already had healers fussing over them after all. And while some of the injuries looked gruesome, hopefully they were the sort that healed just fine and only left a fancy scar for the ladies to swoon over. The harper took advantage of the lull to jot down some notes and make a few quick gesture sketches to help stick it more firmly in his mind. Once he was done with that he checked on Quil to make sure the little bit of excitement hadn't bothered her too much. After all, she'd seen her own boy get mauled before, and while he didn't think anything that had happened today matched that, he didn't want her reliving anything terrible. After a quick check and squeeze of her hand, he turned his attention back to the sands below.
Things were rather delightfully benign after that, and while it wasn't as exciting or inspiring as the earlier drama, Gangleri enjoyed it enough all the same. And then, then the gold egg shook! He grinned, leaning forward as he watched the pretty little thing tumble out and then go on quite the meandering journey. And then.... oh. "Well... damn. There goes twenty marks," he said with a soft grumble. Ah well, maybe next time.
