Elloren didn't feel anything at first, one minute she was upright, the next she was bleeding in the sand, pain radiating from her shoulder to her elbow as the green left her and moved on. A little lightheaded, she worked herself back onto her feet and stared for a minute at the blood streaming down her arm from the long gashes before working her way over to the Healers in attendance.
No hysterical screaming from her, just a soft grunt at the pain and shock of the injury.
There were going to be stitches, many stitches, she knew that much but she could still move her arm, so it couldn't be that bad. At least she hadn't gotten bitten or lost her fingers.
She sat, waiting for her turn, her face pale but determined. Once the bleeding had stopped and she was patched up, she was going back out there again.
