Maliah was completely unperturbed by Kor'is' tone though her mouth pulled at the "Stumpy". She hated being reminded that she was not as tall and svelt as she wanted to be. Not that she was tiny, mind, but being reminded of it constantly wasn't her cup of tea. She glanced down at the stands, finding both Orgailian and Ferra, her green eyes making sure the two were as safe as they possibly could be on the sands before looking back at the perpetually grouchy man beside her. "My sister's down there," she nodded towards Ferra before wiggling her fingers towards her blonde poet, "And Orgailian of course. Can't forget that sweet boy."
She doubted Orgailian even knew she was up there but that didn't matter to her, her ridiculous need to prove to Kor'is that there was a reason for her to be at the hatching. "I don't really like hatchings," she sniffed with part truth and part lie. She liked the excitement and the party after more than the actual event, "And if F'drel wouldn't have gotten angry I wouldn't have come to this hatching. The weyr in the ass crack of the sun today."
She tugged the soft cotton shirt away from her skin and blew down the front. She should've grabbed some water from the drudges. Eye glanced around for someone roaming the stands with said beverage when eggs started to blast apart. There was something remarkably exciting about watching the first shells to break apart and this time was no different. She frowned and started to stand when the greens immediately started fighting, her eyes for Ferra as she made sure her sister wasn't all up in the middle. "Greens," she muttered before waving towards a drudge with water and asked politely, "Want some?"
