Since the official announcement of the dragonhealing program, L’gan had been busier than ever. There were the usual injuries of a Weyr to tend to, all the sprains and headaches and minor breaks. And he’d been taking every opportunity he had to show the visitors from Telgar practical things, like how to deal with the sprained wing of an overeager weyrling. He spent part of the morning checking in on Erebuth and B’kit as they were working on their exercises. He hoped they’d be able to get back to Ista soon; the warm ocean waters there would be so much easier to swim in to build his strength back up.
L’gan was examining a cracked talon and talking through his thought process for the best way to fix it when Semath relayed a message from Cirith. Sariel feels poorly. Cirith says she is going back to bed for a while. He frowned, worried that something was wrong with the pregnancy. Does she want me to check in on her? I can probably get this lot sorted and be up there in an hour
He felt a wash of amusement as Semath got Cirith’s response. She said to tell you not to be a worry-wherry. She felt dizzy but doesn’t think it’s anything serious. Probably just a ‘bug’ from the twins. Though it’s early for trundle bugs, isn’t it? L’gan let out a breath he hadn’t noticed he was holding, and smiled. Not that sort of bug, darling. Thank you. Tell them I’ll come see them at lunch.
