As soon as Rakka asked about between all he could think of was Cazan and her wild theories she'd brought with her about how the dark and cold void was full of ghosts. He had no idea how common that particular rumor was among holders, but his brother's mate was vocal enough about it that he'd heard other people starting to talk about it too, though whether she really was the source or just reminding them of other things they'd heard in the past he wasn't entirely sure. Everything K'dar had ever heard about involving ghosts was when he was a boy huddled around a campfire listening to and telling spooky stories.
"Well for one it is definitely not haunted. No ghosts at all, I don't care what anyone says or what you've heard. Going between can be dangerous if you don't have a good bond with your dragon and a good picture of your destination in mind, it's entirely possible you won't come back. But that has absolutely nothing to do with ghosts." There, hopefully K'dar had nipped that particular bit of superstition in the bud, if it had existed at all. He still wasn't entirely sure how wide spread that was. For all he knew it could have just been at Ista or wherever it was that Cazan was from.
He scratched at his chin as he considered Rakka's actual question though. "It is rather empty. And cold. I don't really think about it while I'm there, if anything I suppose it's a bit calm? It's just me and Tiberuth and I suppose any passengers we carry, just waiting in the emptiness until we come back out at our destination. If anything sometimes the destination is more worrying, especially if there's a storm."
