Mylorah wasn’t sure if the gold just called her a whore or not but she did know she didn’t want to Impress to this one. The last thing she needed was K’dar in dragon form living in her head. She sighed and stepped away from the egg so the next girl could get to it and she could ponder on what she had felt. She hadn’t gotten very far in going over what had happened when Mylorah decided she didn’t care. She liked who she was and she had enough well-meaning friends and brothers telling her she was apparently too good for some people or they didn’t deserve her. She would be the judge of that and had no intentions of changing how she was with anyone.
Although both eggs had picked up on how worried and stressed she was but that had nothing to do with flirting… just more giving herself to everyone in a different way. But she wouldn’t change that either. Friends were there for each other and Mylorah wasn’t going to stop showing up for one because it was poorly timed. No one could schedule their crisis. She just had to be better at managing her time—that was all.
Should she do another egg or two? There was still plenty of time and some Candidates had already moved off so less waiting for an egg to free up as well. Maybe one more and then she’d also get out of the way so the newer Candidates could have their fun exploring the eggs. She knew this was tradition but it certainly didn’t guarantee she would Impress. But they were sometimes fun and this one was Malvayth and Cazan’s and Mylorah wanted to be able to tell the dragon more about her babies when she asked.
Circling back around the clutch, Mylorah eventually found one that seemed currently forgotten and settled in for the next judgement as she touched the shell.
Egg 8.
