"No," she chuckled, "He's not too rowdy. He's a little quiet but he likes a lot of weird stuff and I bet a bone would be right up his alley." August had a hope that when and if she impressed she'd be able to bring him to the weyr, but she wasn't certain if that would be possible. Not from the weyr's standpoint, they didn't seem to care much about children being under foot, but she was afraid her father wouldn't allow it.
She laughed at his giggles, enjoying the carefree sound as her eyes twinkled brightly with amusement. "I don't know," she said with a grin, "Who wouldn't be serious with a set of tits like that? Back pain is serious business." Her tone was just as serious as the picture she attempted to draw. She was fairly certain her face failed that test completely and she could still feel her wide mouth split with a smile. "The fangs were a nice touch," she said as she got herself under control and stop back to study their masterpieces.
"Fantastic!" she exclaimed as Chuck popped out of between with the red fabric she'd requested. "What a good boy you are," she continued with a wiggle of her fingers and scratched the brown's chin, "Such a smart guy you are!" She took the fabric from the firelizard and move towards the snowman and pursed her lips. "He might need eyebrows, Fetch," she said as she settled the fabric above his leering mouth. "Are there any more little sticks about?" she asked and glanced around.
