Well…she didn’t say ‘no’…and if he made her a mug and she didn’t want it, he could always have it later. Or save it for Taydi. He’d already embarrassed himself a bit in the room with the glass…and she’d already fallen off of his weyr ledge into the water. It really couldn’t get much worse.
He scooped a spoonful of his special mix into the pot, setting it to boil at the hearth, and fished a couple of mugs from his trunk. Sighing, he sat next to the green rider. “Sorry.” He stared into his empty mug. “Not exactly a good way to start life at a new Weyr.”
