Zeianth dipped his head in greeting to the latest girl that D'hys seemed interested in. He had no idea what attracted his rider to someone and it seemed when it came to this one, even D'hys hadn't quite decided why he was bothering. Maybe too much time around Rhaedalyn really was influencing D'hys and it was a genuine act of kindness that was leaving the man baffled. Wouldn't that be amusing, Zeianth thought as he studied the girl--Aederyn.
She had kindness radiating from her as much as she had respect for him. He still didn't speak to her but he did lower his head to her outstretched hand in invitation for her to scratch away wherever she wished. As he did so, he quietly prodded her mind, gently brushing against memories that made up who she was and getting a feel for her emotions and desires.
She would make a good dragonrider, Zeianth confessed to D'hys and knew an outed Search dragon would agree with him. She possessed traits he himself would have been drawn to upon hatching.
D'hys gave a small nod to Zeianth and then gave a look of surprise at Aederyn's admittance. He didn't think R'dal knew how to keep anything to himself with how much the boy talked. "Zeianth, please ask R'dal and Edath to stop by."
Zeianth hated playing messenger. It was beneath him but at least it was to Edath and he liked the young blue. He was another favourite of Halomirth's and he learned to share (and even like it to some degree) her ledge with another blue or two.You and your rider have been requested by mine to put in an appearance at our weyr. Immediately, if you would.
