It had only been a handful of hours since she left Fort Weyr, leaving Kor'is and Cazan behind after having their fun picnic but she already missed them. She wished they had Impressed at Ista, but even then, she knew their dragons were still too young to be left alone for a length of time and Malvayth would likely drive half of her friends insane if she attended the party. They would just have to keep in touch and Mylorah vowed to visit them again in the near future.
They hadn't returned directly to Ista Weyr after the picnic, first having to make a stop at Tillek Hold to kidnap the second son for the night. She still wasn't entirely sure how Tazikel's family felt about him spending so much time at a Weyr or what they really thought about her but Mylorah also didn't care since Tazikel still smiled when he saw her and still had fun on their adventures.
With the lordling in hand, Mylorah took over T'ryn's weyr, bringing in the snacks and drinks--including Tillek wine courtesy of Tazikel-- and telling him all about the picnic while her brother tidied up his desk and brought in a few more chairs swiped from friends. Most of the party attendees were Katila brats so sitting on the floor wouldn't bother any of them, especially since they could lounge around however they wanted, but Mylorah appreciated the gesture and was okay with having more seating options.
By the time her friends started to arrive, Mylorah was curled up on the couch with Tazikel, nibbling on some dried fruit. She had changed into the new dress T'ryn bought for her as it seemed to be a thing now for the two blonde Ts in her life to buy her clothes. She didn't really mind since they all knew she'd never go buy clothes for herself and at least T'ryn knew her every day style well enough to buy her something she'd likely wear outside of fancy parties, though this one was probably more for gathers than just prancing around the Weyr. Her new dress was a beautiful lavender, came just above the knee with tank top-esque sleeves (she didn't know the proper term for those), and had a vertical ruching and a flattering empire waist--or so T'ryn told her though neither of them would have known what that meant without looking at the dress. It was so very much T'ryn for him to remember the technical terms and likely look into it further sometime if his curiosity was piqued enough.
She chatted with the early arrivals, making sure Tazikel felt included and was comfortable. She knew how overwhelmed she was every time he brought her to a party or dinner and while this was a lot less grand and her friends a lot less imposing, Mylorah wondered if it still felt like he was out of his element since it was such a different vibe. He seemed to be doing well so far, which was why she didn't feel guilty when she kissed his cheek and excused herself to go greet another arrival. She'd work her way back to him eventually but Mylorah wanted to visit with all of her friends as well, especially since at least one of them would likely try to leave early.
She wasn't surprised to see F'drel as one of the earlier arrivals. No doubt he thought he could sneak in and then back out again before any crazy antics started. Whether or not that was the case, Mylorah was just happy F'drel showed up and she skipped over to him, giving him a kiss to his cheek in greeting. "Thank you for coming! I feel like we haven't seen each other in ages." She took his hand and gave it a little playful tug, "come and sit so we can catch up. Do you want some wine? Or a snack? I baked the cookies but C'dhin dropped off cupcakes earlier, and then there's healthy snacks as well."
