Tazikel was relieved when Mylorah waltzed her way over to the stands to greet the little group he was in, it gave him something to focus on other than whatever was going on with T’ryn and his friend - who was actually the lady who had been at the party, not her brother, which was a little weird, but whatever. Some families were real strict about where women could go and what they could do unchaperoned, and while many would consider a bronzerider an acceptable enough escort, some fell more on the side of ‘all dragonriders are insatiable sex addicts who will deflower any and all unwatched maidens,’ and if she came from one of those he supposed dressing up as her brother wasn’t too ridiculous. A little extreme, but not completely unthinkable. To his mind, anyway. His mother might have some other thoughts about it if she heard rumors or he told her.
Not that he didn’t appreciate a good scandal or anything, but the whole thing was starting to hurt his head, and feigning offense at Mylorah’s light hearted teasing was simpler.
“I am a joy to be around in the morning, thank you very much,” he said, happy to accept the kiss and quick hug.
He was a little less enthusiastic about being dragged to visit Kordiavis, since Tazikel was still hoping to put off dealing with that for a bit longer. No such luck, it seemed. Ah well, he really should congratulate his friend. It was polite, and what friends should do. If he and Kordiavis were even friends anymore. They were, right? Tazikel was just overthinking everything and nothing at all had changed (except maybe him?). Too late in any case, because Mylorah had gotten them both to the newly minted bluerider.
“Hey,” Tazikel said, at a loss for what else to say. Perhaps letting Mylorah take the lead was the best idea, she knew what one was supposed to say when a friend Impressed, right? That seemed the smart thing to do. If left to his own devices Tazikel would definitely say something stupid, and he’d rather avoid that if at all possible.
