Once the class had settled he went about assigning a weyrling to each volunteer, careful to note the size of each rider's dragon. When he came to B'jin and Par'a linked arm in arm he sighed, of course they wanted to help. "Visltine will ride with myself and Remenath. Oruth will be flown south by Larrikith and Grith." He decided. "No funny stuff." He muttered to the Greenriders as they beamed at him.

The little blue was greeted with a cheerful bugle as Larrikith caught Veeth's greeting, shining blue-green eyes whirling happily as she stood behind B'jin, her chin resting on his head (a fact that had him head butting her when she bugled). Her wings were half unfurled as she wriggled excitedly, picking up on the emotions around her and letting them flood her small round form as she returned her attention from Veeth and a sullen looking Valerian to gossip with Grith. Her fellow pixie of a green was probably an odd companion for a dragon as intelligent and mischievous as Larrikith, but she loved Grith, and would defend the quirky and fun loving little dragon with a great deal of ferocity if required (though, thankfully for B'jin, that hadn't yet been tested). Being with the other little green meant Larrikith could kick back, relax and have simple and childish fun without having to be prepared for a battle of words.

Her rider's friendship with Par'a was no less quirky, the two greenriders hitting it off quickly upon regrouping after the Plague. Like with most of B'jin's relationships, it was his dragon that caused the meeting of riders. The strange effect the older green had on his intrigued the man, and he was not at all disappointed by the woman that became a close friend. Valerian thought B'jin was eternally cheerful. B'jin wondered how anyone could be as ever happy as Par'a gave the impression of being. "Funny stuff?" B'jin quipped with wide eyes, turning to look at Par'a when G'rem threw his warning at them. "Us?" He turned back to look at G'rem with shining innocence, biting down a smirk when the bluerider just stared at him before walking away. Leaning over, B'jin kissed Par'a lightly on the cheek with a wicked wink. "Do you think he'll spank us with his stick if we're naughty?" He asked Par'a, smirking devilishly as he raised his eyebrows and threw a coy look at where G'rem was marching toward his dragon. The stage whisper had been loud enough for anyone with hearing to pick up and B'jin laughed outright when G'rem blatantly ignored him.

Shifting his attention from the grumpy bluerider to peer at Visltine, B'jin's expression lit up into a cheerfully innocent grin. Her complete lack of apparent worry was amazing and B'jin was thrilled. He could name several Weyrlings that would have been less placid looking if they'd been assigned either Grith or Larrikith. To be told your dragonet was riding both? The Harper wondered if perhaps she was loosely wired. Probably! But that just meant he wouldn't have a stressing weyrling breathing down his neck as Larrikith suddenly flung her wings out wide and crooned a deep greeting to the tiny green dragonet, extending her nose to breathe heavily in Oruth's face. Her original disapointement at not being given Veeth as her assignment was overridden by the unadulterated pleasure she got when she realised the little dragonet was as excited for the up coming trip as the two adult greens.

Me first! Larrikith cheered, loudly. B'jin grimaced and threw the dragon a dirty look at her obnoxiously loud voice, which could probably be heard by everyone currently in the Gather Square and probably everyone else (who, if they were smart, were likely to still be in bed.) as she proclaimed her desire to be the first in the sky with a miniature passenger. B'jin, however, was quick to slaughter that idea. Larrikith got in the sky by flicking between and the man was not going to put the young woman through three breaths of horror as Larrikith gained altitude by cheating.

I do not cheat! Larrikith said indignantly, huffing as B'jin actually went to the extent to exert his will against her and Larrikith backed down with a pout. Fine. Grith goes first. She eyed B'jin with sudden cheeky amusement. And you can walk! She squealed, loudly, and vanished between to reappear above the gathering with a bugle of excited delight, laughing happily as B'jin burst into laughter himself at her antics and wrapped an arm around Par'a's waist.

"Looks like we're keeping Jada company," B'jin smirked, brown eyes flashing around to try and find his wayward searchee. At least she was entertaining company! Unlike some of the other late comers, whom would most certainly not be enjoyable to walk with. But! That was why he had Par'a! Releasing the woman, B'jin approached the little dragonet and knelt down before it and pet the headnobs gently. He smiled as her sweet voice flowed into his mind and with a quiet word to prepare the little one, B'jin wrapped his arms around and under the tiny creature and lifted her with relative ease. "Let's get you up on Grithy so we can be off!"

Approaching the excitable green, B'jin waited for her to stand still for a moment, and with a quick look toward G'rem (and seeing him busy with one of the blueriders) the Harper paused for a split second before stretching up and almost throwing the dragonet atop Grith's back. Quick hands helped to settle the little creature, and then he slid backwards, face a mask of pure innocence with huge brown eyes. Larrikith, floating around above them, gave a squealing chirp of amusement.

Griiiiiiiiiiith! She sang, spiralling around a blue and low over Grith, brushing her wings against her friend's back on the down beat before swinging strongly around again and shooting off, the little green spinning and swirling between the other dragons as if they were little more than nothing. B'jin watched her with amused pride, enjoying an aerial show he was usually a part of (in one way, or another).

"Shall we?" B'jin asked Par'a regally, executing an elaborate bow as he offered her his arm. A wide grin was etched on the man's face, eyes bright and alive with mirth.

Par'a slapped her hand across her mouth to smother the loud giggle when G'rem threatened them to behave, her eyes sparkling. "Oh I dunno, I think he likes to be spanked himself!" She squealed, her hand dropping to clutch her stomach as she laughed. Pell! You'll get in trouble! Grith's voice was a high squeal, mirroring her rider's mirth. She rumbled the dragon equivalent of laughter loudly beside Par'a, her eyes whirling vibrant pink.

Spying Oruth who was bounding over excitedly she walked over to her and crouched down, rubbing the little Green's snout. "You're gonna love this!" She declared, standing up as she heard Larrikith declaring that she would fly first. She didn't hear B'jin's side of the conversation, but she could piece together what was going on. Her laughter filled the air again as Larrikith flicked between indignantly and reappeared above them bugling.

"Hmm yes... Jada, and two other by my count. No, three!" Watching the other Weyrlings mounting up and helping their dragons up she narrowed her eyes in thought and leant against B'jin. As he dealt with getting Oruth mounted up on Grith Par'a turned her gaze to the entrance of the Weyrling Barracks, seeing Jada, Erisi, Dogul and Tirydin eventually all making their way out.

To the side Grith was bouncing excitedly as B'jin approached with Oruth. It took her a while to stand still and when she did it was only for the few seconds it needed to get Oruth on board. She felt the little one clasping to her back and she bounced a little in excitement. Feeling that Oruth was settled she crouched, her muscles bunching together.

Let's go!

With that Grith bolted forward in great leaping bound, her wings pumping furiously. A final, giant leap sent her soaring into the air, her squeal mingling with Oruth's and echoed nearby by Visltine's own short squawk of surprise. The small Green wheeled around, weaving around Larrikith with a pleasant trill. Swooping under her she let her wingtips trace the other Green's belly. Larrikiiiiiiith! She called back, sweeping left and pumping her wings to rise high above her.

"Come on you layabouts, dragons up! Let's get walking!" She called to the four late Weyrlings, giggling when she turned to B'jin and seeing his elaborate bow. With a silly grin on her face she snaked her arm to link in around B'jin's. She didn't wait before pulling him along, if the Weyrlings weren't ready then they could run to catch up. It would do them good, they were clearly lazy if they were late!

A brown-yellow hide was the first of the Weyrling Goldrider pair on the scene, slinking very sneakily onto the scene- promptly on time! I'm here. Krypth informed them, voice crisp. Shards, Greens! She hated Greens! Who could she fly with? Not one of those undersized hussies. Alas, even if she was promptly on time, she would have to wait for her bonded before she could go anywhere. Her tail lashed, displeased with the company. She wanted a nice blue to talk to. As for people, L'khead of Larrikith was nice enough, but Jada seemed to feel irritation whenever he was mentioned. Even if she liked him, it was on principle, so Krypth could do the same! And she didn't know Grith's, so she could hardly talk to her.

Maybe Veeth would-! Oh, nope. Both Veeth and the other Blue left, and one Bronze took the other away (good riddance!) And noe, two of the little greens were dancing off, and still Krypth waited for the girl who was-

Frantically looking for her dragon!

Krypth was annoyed, and Jada knew it, but Jada had told her to wait, just a moment! But no, the Gold had run off, and someone had stopped Jada and asked a question, and now Krypth was lost, and Jada didn't remember where they were supposed to meet, but there were dragons taking flight and-

Oh. Oh, oh, oh! When the Harper stumbled in (last in class) after her (first in class) dragon, she was breathing heavily, and in no mood to walk. Shards! "Why did you run off?!"

It is important to be places on time, Jada. Remember that. Now you have to wait to get a ride, and I have to suffer due to your tardiness.

YOU ARE SLEEPING.

"Mhhhmmm."

I woke you up. You fell asleep. Valerian woke you up, you almost fell asleep again! I told you not to sit down, because you are asleep.

"Haaardddllly," Erisi grumbled, nestling his face into the warm crook of his arm. At one point he had been awake enough to get dressed and head out of the Weyrling Barracks. His dragonet did not want to be 'embarrassed' by the threat of tardiness, so had tried to usher him along. Unfortunately, when he suggested food Charath relented, and allowed her bonded to stop by the kitchens and grab something quick to eat on their way. Somehow that had turned into Erisi taking a seat, and then Erisi dozing off, and finally Erisi falling fast asleep. Charath was aghast at her bonded's behavior, and, well, lack of care towards important lessons. Worst of all, he was going to embarrass her! She'd get revenge on him later, but the most pressing matter was getting him to their lesson.

They were probably already late, and since they were, Erisi believed firmly in the idea that being a few more minutes tardy wouldn't hurt them more than they already were going to be hurt. Still, Charath headbutted his legs to get him to start moving, and they made a very slow meander towards where the Weyrlings were supposed to meet. Why Erisi was so tired was beyond Charath's mental grasp, since she had slept well enough (so obviously that meant he had as well - what Charath didn't realize was how much her determination to have his bed as her own was hurting Erisi's sleep schedule). Erisi had to struggle with his dragonet nightly to find a comfortable enough position to sleep in, and usually ended up sprawled over a chair as a last resort.

Their relationship definitely needed the kinks worked out of it.

"Mmmm, looks like no one is here. I'm going back to bed."

No. There is my ferry. Try and look pathetic, maybe you won't get in as much trouble that way. Charath's advice was cold, and the dragonet snootily turned her back on her bonded and headed towards the rider and dragon that had been assigned to take her to class. She waited on them expectantly, and Erisi watched with vague amusement. Hmmm, if this was the way to make Charath upset, he'd have to do it more often.

Ah -- there was B'jin and some lady that was equally unfuckable...

WHAT?

Sigh. It had already been a long day.

Larrikith gave a squealing trill of laughter as Grith's wingtips brushed under her belly, tickling the little green who twisted away, eyes swirling rapidly to show her amusement, her trilling laughter not abating. Vibrant colours lit up the enthusiastic little green's eyes, and she spun through the air, twisting and twirling before she grew tired of it, and somewhat dizzy! Blinking between, Larrikith reappeared above Grith, peering down at her small friend and their even tinier passenger. She gave a soft warble, and dipped under Grith. To me! she encouraged brightly, shooting Grith an image of what she wanted the other green to do, the entire thing rippling with mirth.

B'jin gave a squeak, which turned into a laugh as Par'a tugged him along, the smaller woman a lot stronger than her stocky little form often leads one to believe, and the greenrider stumbled before finding his pace beside the excitable woman. "Come on you lot!" He throws over his shoulder, eyeing the three young men and their future goldrider with merriment as their dragonets were loaded up and the young riders-to-be told they were to walk. Oh, the delights of being late! B'jin smirked, and turned his attention back to Par'a.

"So my dear! What have you been up to?" Brown eyes bright with curiosity, B'jin ignored the tardy, whining Weyrlings in order to focus on the greenrider who was always up to date on the latest gossip. His smirk intensified. "Anything particularly interesting of late?"

[sup]Sorry for ignoring you guys xD B'jin's in the mood to gossip lol[/sup]

Grith squealed as she received Larrikith's proposed idea, it was brilliant! Swooping close to the fellow Green she projected the image through to Oruth, so their little sister would understand what was about to happen and wouldn't freak out. Oruth was excited at the idea and prepared herself for it. Ready? Now! She clamped her wings shut as she spoke. As soon as she felt Oruth jumping from her back she winked between, reappearing to the side of Larrikith in time to see the baby Green landing on Larrikith's back. She bugled excitedly, it had worked! Of course... it was always going to work, but seeing the manoeuvre be pulled off successfully was thrilling.

Diving beneath the pair she spiralled and twisted, pulling off tiny and rapid moves fuelled by her hyperactivity. She swooped down low, sending buffets of air over the six walking below before ascending up again to dart around Larrikith.

Beneath them Par'a laughed at their dragons' antics, there was no point in attempting to discourage them. Well, Larrikith perhaps, but Grith was barely controllable at the best of times. Hearing B'jin's question she laughed. "Are you toying with me or have you really been out of the loop lately?" She asked, unbelieving that B'jin could be so ostracised from the circle of gossip that she was so involved in.

Glancing around she noticed Jada was the closest of the four Weyrlings and seemed quite put out. She gave a quick wink to Erisi but otherwise ignored his distasteful expression he had directed at her, slipping away from B'jin for a moment and guiding herself over to Jada.

"What on Pern causes a Goldrider to be later? Pushing the boundaries, are we?" Par'a asked slyly, giving Jada a quick slap to her butt as she did so. She knew Jada was a prude and with a two month old dragon, any sane Weyrling would be avoiding even hand holding with those they were attracted to at this stage. While she had only seen G'rem in a Weyrling Master capacity at Katila, it didn't take her long to know that he meant business when it came to the new dragons. Even she wouldn't have dared to step out of line if she had been in his class. Then again, Par'a had been the perfect image of a Weyrling.... of course.

She gave Jada a broad wink and slipped back over to B'jin, relinking their arms smoothly. "Now... where were we? Ah yes, gossip. Well I managed to catch I'shan! I'm sure you heard that. He didn't quite like that when he came to... Though he does have extraordinarily nice shirts. You should ask him where he gets them from! They're so soft and hug all the right places." She giggled, casting her mind back to the week she had quite happily worn his shirt out and about after Grith's flight. She had received numerous filthy looks from N'gelt but she didn't care for them, it was I'shan squirming as she chatted casually with him that she adored. Of course, when it had gotten too much she had quickly handed the shirt back, though not before she made sure it was laden with her feminine scent.

"Now there's my juicy piece, where's yours?" She smirked. She didn't need to ask, she knew exactly what, or more, who, B'jin had been up to. Still, it was always more entertaining to get the words straight from the source.

Krypth twined her body around Jada's leg as best she could, glaring at the three greens in the sky with an irritated gaze. I refuse to let them touch me. she told Jada firmly. You better hope someone else comes back, or we have a long walk ahead. What possessed those silly wherries to think that diving off of a dragon that was almost as small as you were (Krypth was not a very good judge of size difference apart from the fact that she was finally bigger than Vyaniorth) and onto a tiny little platform of Green? Oruth was clearly seeking a romance with the ground, and Krypth wanted to be well out of the way! Start walking!

"I really appreciate you coming ahead and not telling me." Jada told her bonded conversationally, trying to pry her leg free of the snakelike grip. How could a dragon move like a tunnelsnake? Weren't dragons supposed to have bones? Or was it just because they were still so... small? It took a little while, but she was finally able to get free; however the dragonet's nose went right back to her knee. That is acceptable, Jada decided, looking into the dragonets multifaceted blue eyes. So when a hand came into firm contact with Jada's butt, the Harper leapt for the sky with an unglorified squawk- a sound that she would not (ever) want included in any later stories, and would deny, deny, deny.

What did she do? Why are you uncomfortable? You sounded like a wherry, Jada. Maintain your composure! Why are you gripping your butt? Why are your eyes wide? Jada, I can't tell if you are angry or embarrassed. Are you still paying attention to me?

"No." Jada's answer was eloquently put, if she did say so herself. She glared at Par'a under her lashes, even more after the woman walked back to B'jin and linked arms. Insult to injury, there. Leave it to the sweet, lunkhead searchrider to be friends with someone so... so...

Jada, if Oruth falls off a dragon, do you think we could catch her?

"What? From that height? No!"

Krypth tilted her head, considering, then left her bonded's leg and traipsed (yes, Jada decided, there was a bounce in the dragonet's step) over to B'jin and Par'a, stepping deliberately into their path and rising onto her haunches. The dragonet had gotten plenty of practice at doing such a thing in order to try and snitch food from Jada's plate. Literally. B'jin. Par'a. The gold's voice was severe, and Jada felt her lips twitch. Why are you letting that- that- poor little dragonet be used as a prop for midair acrobatics? Don't you know that is dangerous? I insist you be adults and put a halt to such dangerous activities!

If something happened to her hussy-in-training clutchmate, Krypth would be in no way to blame. She'd done her part!

Larrikith gave a chitter of delighted excitement as Oruth landed on her back with an oof, the little green scrabbling around before settling down. She could hear the baby's own squeals of excitement and Larrikith dipped down, flaring her wings at the last second and swooping over the heads of several of the grumbling weyrlings with another chirp, eyes swirling swiftly with her excitable emotions. The little green beat her wings with stronger strokes, surging ahead of the party of walking humans. They had to get Oruth to the lakeside, and make sure some of the larger dragons came back to pick up the other babies. Larrikith didn't fancy lugging them all to the Lake, and wasn't particularly interested in being any more helpful than she was. And it was only okay with Oruth because Oruth was fun, and Grith was with her!

Again! Oruth's soft voice was pleasant, but her words caused Larrikith to quiver in delight and she bugled for Grith's fickle attention, chirping questioningly as she dipped closer, then under the other green to rise up on the other side of her. Ready?! Larrikith's voice was quivering with excited anticipation as she waited for both Grith and Oruth to confirm their readiness, then she swayed out over the top of Grith. Oruth gave a chirp, and leaped upwards, leaving Larrikith's back long enough for the tiny green dragon to wink between, and reappear to the left in time to see the baby dragon land on Grith with a squeal of pleasure. Larrikith added her own voice to the fray, pushing onward excitedly as they made their way to the Lake, the walking humans left far behind.

B'jin laughed in return, completely ignoring his dragon and her antics. To try and stop her would only cause the green monster to do even more outrageous things. Especially since he couldn't actually see any harm in what was going on; Oruth was having a blast, and enjoying it as much as the two "adult" dragons. Why burst their bubble of fun? The man wasn't really given a chance to respond to Par'a's disbelief as the woman suddenly took off, babbling and B'jin blinked in surprise, the expression on his face first warming to one of amusement, before taking on a slightly devious air as he watched Par'a angle in on Jada.

He burst into laughter when Par'a slapped Jada on the rump, biting his bottom lip and smiling innocently when he caught Jada's sour response. Poor child! He was still smirking when Par'a came back and linked her arm once more with his, and highly amused, B'jin gave her a particularly dramatic kiss to the cheek. Laughter once more bubbled forth, and B'jin shook his head as he walked along happily with the other greenrider. "Oh yes, I did hear about that." That had been a particularly interesting day. As for extraordinarily comfortable shirts..? "It's a bluerider thing." B'jin's expression was pure coy evil as he batted his eyes innocently at Par'a. How many had he managed to steal off R'nd, now? The ruined ones were unfortunate casualties, but he was rather fond of the one he'd managed to snag without damaging it. Par'a was right. Delightfully comfortable.

"Juicy gossip? Why Par'a, hurt!-" B'jin was cut off, even as he put a dramatic hand to his heart, by the little gold dragon that appeared before them, looking ever so full of herself. An eyebrow arched as he felt the little gold force her way into his mind, and demand attention. The other eyebrow arched up as he peered down at her in amusement. "Adults?" B'jin asked,  blinking in mock surprise. "There are adults present?" Huge eyes turned on Par'a, and he stage whispered, "Do you know what ones she's talking about?" Laughter was bubbling under the surface of his voice, as he stepped delicately around Krypth, patting her patronisingly on the head as he went and winked at Par'a.

B'jin's response made Krypth puff up like an angry little wherry. I thought there were adults present, but there are simply overgrown children! Bad influences! Jada, come now. Bossiness, and a spoiled, ill temper; Yet it did indeed cause the Harper to hurry over to her Bonded obediently, raising an eyebrow at the back of the man who had Stolen her from the North. Don't you talk to them, Jada. They are poor... poor people. Irresponsible and on bad behavior. I shall tell G'rem he should beat them on the legs with his stick.

"That sounds like a wonderful idea, Krypth." Jada said gamely, lips still twitching. The dragonet would most likely die if she had any clue that she looked more adorable than intimidating at the moment, her indignant attitude more precious than anything else. It seemed

Lets go. Someone will come and ferry us soon. Krypth blew air at Par'a and B'jin in a mockery of a human huff, but her tongue got in the way and the noise came out more like a... a toot. Jada had to actually bite her lip to keep from grinning.

Go!

Grith called, signalling that she was ready to catch the tiny dragon. When Oruth landed on her back she trilled shrilly, beating her wings as powerfully as she could to take herself and her passenger high into the sky. They were speeding forward with ease, leaving the walking party far behind. She bugled as a Blue winged past, the small form of another Green baby on his back. How boring! Oruth commented as she saw the Blue's straightforward and relatively still flight, elliciting a rich rumble of laughter from Grith. Yes, very! She agreed.

B'jin's coy expression did nothing to fool Par'a. "A Bluerider thing huh? Well let's see... Now I know Larrikith only flies Blues... but never more than once. So! How is he?" She asked, purposefully turning her gaze up to the trio of Greens above them and away from B'jin. The patterns they were swirling were quite pretty, though her heart leapt into her mouth when one of them winked between and left Oruth falling down to the other. Sure, nothing bad had happened yet, but you never knew with Grith. She didn't have much time to watch them though as they sped into the distance.

When they were faced with a small ball of Gold Par'a laughed. As a Weyrling there had been no Golds in training at the same time as herself and Grith, only older and more sensible queens were present in the Weyr. That only made Krypth seem even more hilarious. Two months old and she thought she was going to make demands of fully fledged riders?

"Darling, just because that baby Green is willing to have fun doesn't mean you have to rain on her parade. Now on your way, it looks like there's a nice Brown left to give you a lift." Par'a shooed the baby Gold away with her foot after B'jin had patted her. His words took a moment to register but they brought a wide smirk to her face.

"I haven't a clue!" She laughed, ignoring the looks the Weyrlings were giving the pair. Striding forward she glanced up again, watching the last dragon, a Brown, passing overhead. Ah, good, that nosey Gold was on her way.

B'jin laughed as he, too, turned his gaze up to watch their fateful dragons wing their way out of his personal range of vision - which, was neither here nor there in the scheme of sight. When he turned his attention back to Par'a, highly amused at the fanciful tricks their dragons had played, an eyebrow quirked teasingly. "How is he?" His tone was lathered in his playful teasing, and the excessively wide eyes belied his apparent confusion about whom they were speaking about. A smirk pulled at the corners of his lips, making them twitch as he fought to contain it.

If you two have finished gossiping, Larrikith's voice sounded as the small dragon popped out from between low, washing a blast of cold air over the top of the two humans as she twisted off to one side and alighted gently, turning a curious eye upon the pair. Oruth made it in one piece, though I feel both Her's and Remenath's were fearful that would not be the case. She sounded insanely cheerful about that, and B'jin laughed as he scuttled over to her, scrambling aboard the strapless dragon and clinging with his knees as she winked between to reappear above the ground, circling lazily as they awaited Grith and Par'a to join them.

When the other dragon was in the air, Larrikth gave a chrip and winked between once more, appearing above the Lake with another blast of cold air, and B'jin shivered as they peered down at the dragonets paddling about in the lake. Would you like to go swimming, love? Larrikith's voice was filled with wicked intentions, and B'jin's eyes widened dramatically as he clung to her with suddenly desperate fingers. "No! Faranth, no!"

Rumbling to herself, Larrikith glided towards the beach.
