Xyxyth nuzzled his head against Faxxonth, letting his friend know it was okay to seek out comfort or even hide if he wanted to. It wasn't a good clutch and if it had been his own, Xyxyth didn't think he'd be able to hold his head high either. He wondered if he'd be judged more harshly because he was a bronze that didn't produce a strong clutch rather than a blue that shouldn't have reproduced to begin with. Either way, he held firm in his position of protector and friend, not faulting Faxxonth for anything.
A'tay desperately wanted to run to Nerreh and hug him. It was obviously hard to continue standing there to be judged by everyone while also watching the young ones die or barely hang on. He was so happy that Misharan Impressed, knowing he was a good man and deserved a dragon and wouldn't tolerate any crap anyone had to say about his dragon or lineage. But the frail blue had to make it first.
Before he thought about it too much, A'tay did start to rise but R'nd was quicker with a hand going to his shoulder to gently push him back in his seat. He nodded at the words of wisdom, knowing his dad was right. It was too dangerous to rush out there. It was a small clutch with only two eggs left but Thallyath would be unpredictable and he honestly wasn't sure if Nerreh or Casa would appreciate him running out there, drawing more gazes and making a further spectacle of things. Like R'nd said, they knew he supported them.
But he would definitely check in on them--or at least Nerreh and Faxxonth after the Hatching. No doubt T'ryn would try to seek out Casa even if it took days to do so with how popular she was. Mylorah would be among the first to check in on her friends as well. A'tay almost smiled at how they were definitely a family that cared too much about others.
