Mylorah was still doing her best to accept Misharan would still be bonded in the coming days given how weak his dragonet was. But with so much love radiating from her friend and the care being given from those that knew what they were doing, she was slowly finding it easier to believe the little guy would make it.
She almost missed the next hatchling to make its appearance because she was more focused on Misharan than the eggs. But the cracking and murmurs finally caught her attention and Mylorah looked over in time to see another green spill out. It was in as rough shape as the other green that still lay motionless on the ground. But this one seemed to be a bit more determined, maybe a bit more life left in it…no. That was her wishful thinking again. The green collapsed in an ugly tangle of limbs and then the keening started again.
Kordiavis still held her hand, helping to ground her in the present and she quickly spun into him for comfort. They both seemed to need it as their hands released at the same time to wrap arms around each other. Mylorah felt tears welling up and let them fall, uncaring now about putting on a brave face. Two little greens were dead and Misharan had Impressed to one that was barely any healthier. She was still happy for him but so afraid for him. She was also sad for her friends that were bonded to the dragons that were responsible for this. She knew they were both going through a hard time from the Flight and the Hatching wasn’t going to help anything. If anything, it helped serve the point that blues shouldn’t Fly golds and while she actually did believe that as well, she still didn’t blame Nerreh or Faxxonth for what happened. But Mylorah had a feeling the remaining eggs weren’t going to make it and Misharan Impressing was just a fluke.
