Like all the other Candidates, Mylorah was more or less confined to the inner workings of the Weyr and not allowed to wander too far off like the beach with the Hatching looming and likely to happen at any day now. That didn't bother her too much since she loved socializing and either hung out in the common room with other Candidates to keep their spirits up or she went visiting riders in their weyrs.
She was currently visiting one of those rider friends when Thallyath called out, startling them both. Once it became clear why she was being so vocal this time, Mylorah squealed with delight, kissed her friend on the cheek and dashed out the door to get ready. She had to make a quick stop to see T'ryn on the way, making sure he both knew and kept his promise. It was somewhat depressing knowing that her barging in without warning wouldn't interrupt anything that left her brother too much on display--she really needed to find him a girlfriend and needed to talk to Madiquel about other potential Healer girls.
"T'ryn! The Hatching is starting! Don't forget you promised to pick up Tazicurls! Er... Tazikel," she had to think a moment on his real name thanks to using the nickname she gave him all the time. She had invited him during the night together at the Gather since he seemed so interested in Weyr life. She started to regret that invitation after the Touching but he had seemed so excited to be asked that instead of sending a letter telling him not to come, she had instead verified that he was still interested in coming and to be ready around this time and her brother would pick him up.
"Thank you, I love you!" Mylorah blew him a kiss as she ran back out to continue her trek down to her little shared room where she found her roommates getting ready as well. It didn't take long to shuck one dress and toss on the unflattering--thankfully Tazikel already knew she wasn't shaped like a sack--robe and then pull her hair up in a pony tail.
Upon entering the Grounds, Mylorah frowned when she saw Thallyath looking utterly depressed and Casa equally so. Her friend hadn't even changed into something more presentable which would probably annoy M'ris but everything about Casa annoyed him and maybe he'd like her casual wear better than the cute dresses she was often in. Oh how she wished she could go over and hug Casa! Mylorah knew a lot of their friends would want to check on Casa but she also knew none of them wanted to risk angering Thallyath for any reason; she wondered if Nerreh or Faxxonth would even be allowed near the gold pair.
Instead, Mylorah worked her way around the little clutch to a spot where a few others were already waiting and whisper-shouted Casa's name to grab her attention. She gave a little smile and made a heart with her hands to give her silent support to her friend.
