Sariel turned to watch the queens and the blue, Faxxonth, who'd won her Flight. This...was going to one of those moments where she was going to get through it by sheer will. She had more eggs to touch and so she did. The third egg was angry, in pain, soaked in fear and negativity that she tried to soothe by mentally curling around its presence, telling it gently that it would find its lifemate on the sands when it hatched.
It would be alright. In the end, through the tears and pain and all this negativity. They were alive and deserved the love that would come to them when they hatched. And they deserved her love now, which she gave to the remaining eggs freely, without restraint.
Even if she didn't Impress, they deserved whatever love she could give them. Her fingers brushed over the final egg and she leaned down with a whisper.
"You lifemate will be waiting for you, little one," she said with a soft hum. "They'll be waiting."
