L’gan choked on his drink as that greeting and voice finally clicked in his head. Thankfully he managed to avoid any spills or damage to his new shirt, and he caught his breath soon enough after a thump or two on the back, waving off others and moving away with the other man from the small scene he had inadvertently caused. “R’vi.” He couldn’t tell, but he felt like his ears were red. At least the red face could be put down to the coughing fit. “It’s good to see you as well. It has been too long, Bluerider.”
“We’ve been settling in well at Fort and the Hall, though I guess Semath still prefers Ista blues. Vydoriath chased, didn’t he?” L’gan knew damn well the blue had, now that he’d figured out who he was speaking with. “Shame he didn’t catch her, or we could have had some real fun,” he teased with a flirtatious smirk. He knew why the rules were in place, but damn weyrlinghood for robbing him of more flirtations and romps with R’vi. The memories of that other night were starting to flood back too, and it had been quite a lot of fun.
He took another, more judicious sip of his drink. “And how have you fared? Still chasing impressionable young healers to corrupt? Or have you given up the chasing in your maturity?”
