Casa giggled, amused, and shook her head. “Probably not,” she admitted, poking at her fruit as she thought about what the other girl and her group could do post-graduation. It was pretty important, after all – not like they got to graduate Weyrlinghood more than once. Or at least, Casa hadn’t learned of anyone that graduated and then got to graduate again!
“That wouldn’t be terrible!” Casa agreed, “specially to get away from all this crappy weather!” Not that Katila had ever been a goldmine for perfect summer days – it had sunny days, of course, but often so hot you were sweating even when you were sitting naked in the lake! Then again, Casa was Katilan born and raised, and she found the North (even Ista) to be rather cold in comparison. “You could do a camping trip,” she added, tilting her head. “New Katila is a shithole.” Of course, she thought that primarily because it wasn’t home, not the way Katila-Katila had been. Of course, there was nothing left of the original Katila and Casa couldn’t bring herself to go back there. The ghosts of too many lost loved ones wandering the ruined homes.
“It probably wouldn’t be as fun as our last camping trip,” Casa teased, “But some of your classmates are just babies,” like A’tay and a handful of others. They could do with a camping trip that didn’t come with copious amounts of really great sex. Well, they could probably do with one of those types of trips, too… in about ten turns! Casa giggled.
