B’jin’s eyebrows lifted, his own lips twisting into a wry smirk “Of course you aren’t, love,” he teased gently, reaching over to give R’nd’s knee a playful squeeze, his touch lingering – not in an attempt to initiate anything, but simply because he enjoyed being inside R’nd’s personal space bubble. Brown eyes crinkled in amusement, “Just when you want to be.” Though, from what B’jin had seen over the turns, that want was usually quite subconscious. Of course, B’jin was a master of selective blindness, deafness, or overall refusal to acknowledge something that made him uncomfortable so he could understand.
It wouldn’t save R’nd from being teased, but he did understand.
“I’m sorry you were kicked out of your childhood home,” B’jin said softly, sobering from his teasing. That was something else he could relate too, having been stolen from his childhood home by one great big fat green mind hacker. He’d never bothered to go back to his birth home; his parents he knew would be long dead – something confirmed by his sister when he (accidentally) first reunited with her in Telgar. He didn’t care to see what had become of the small farming lands they’d once called home. What would be there but the dust of memories most likely left undisturbed?
Shifting onto his feet, B’jin wrapped his arms lazily around R’nd’s shoulder’s and rested his chin atop his left, the novelty of being ‘taller’ as he stood behind the bluerider making him smile for a moment, before a small half smirk formed on his lips as he murmured, “If you want, we can take Larri by. I’m sure she’ll eat him if you ask nicely. She’s always wanted to try human flesh.” Fluttering his eyelashes with a great show of innocence, B’jin kissed R’nd on the cheek, and then set his chin back to the resting place of R’nd’s left shoulder.
