Tal looked back at B'jin with wide, inviting eyes. His trusting expression was tinged only slightly with concern as he shifted his weight to one arm and listened. He could see the reluctance and conflict in B'jin's eyes. The greenrider must have had a lot on his mind. So when B'jin lapsed into his ultimate explanation, Talian took it with a grain of salt; many times in Healer Hall he'd claimed his problem was a headache or a spat with Fiora, when in fact the issue on his mind was his hatred of his father or his desire for freedom. It was easy to vent about a small problem in order to channel your anger away from a much bigger one.
It was still a form of catharsis.
Tal listened quietly. His solemn expression remained unchanged throughout, though he did have an amusing passing thought about how much he wished Larrikith wouldn't talk to him. He knew the issue was important to B'jin, though. B'jin had ended a long term relationship when the lover in question expressed a vicious dislike for the dragon. Tal was constantly afraid of his dislike for dragonkind in general to show around any of his friends, for fear they would abandon him in favor of the beast. It was a legitimate problem.
"Have you said anything to her?" he asked cautiously. He was charmed by B'jin's sudden whine and the indignant way he buried his face in his arms. Tal smiled and reached out, lightly setting his thin fingers on the man's shoulder.
Tal was sure that wasn't everything, but that would suffice for now. Let B'jin rant outwardly about something small. It would make him feel better, at least. Talian could only imagine what was actually going on.
He wasn't sure he wanted to.
The healer scooted closer. "I could give you something for stress, if you like," he said gently. Tal wasn't a healer of minds, and his social skills were in their infancy. His solution to almost any problem tended to be scientific and medical. Emotional problems were no exception, as evidenced by his dependence on klah. He prodded B'jin lightly. "Or you can keep coming back for those back rubs."
