Larrikith pressed her nose gently against the hand that was so tentatively placed upon it, her eyes swirling rapidly as a rainbow of colours danced through them, hiding the little dragon's true feelngs about Talian's action. The jacket landing on his head caused Larrikith to pull her head back, amusement and irritation fighting for a place in her eyes as she stared at Talian and then gave B'jin a dirty look. It washed off the human, who was, as per usual, completely oblivious. Larrikith rolled her eyes to herself, a mental expression, and let the issue slide. She was as pleased as she was confused by Talian's effort, though she kept that to herself. She was starting to think handling the child would be much like handling her rider's relationship with R'nd. Baby steps, and most of them backwards.
Like he had done all those months ago, B'jin ignored every whining comment that came out of Talian's mouth. This time, however, the greenriders' attitude was full of goodnatured fun, as opposed to seriously doing business. Still grinning like an idiot, B'jin was completely oblivious to Talian's unease as the boy recalled the past event. B'jin, however, was as far away from recalling that day as he was physically located from it. He did, however, notice Talian's unease as they flew and was particularly glad that Larrikith had agreed to fly smoothly. While he had no doubt that Valerian could probably be coerced back onto Larrikith without too much issue, B'jin had no doubt that a rough flight would be the last straw for the boy. He had no intention of doing that, and apparently, neither did Larrikith as they alighted with particular grace in the clearing she had chosen.
As B'jin turned back to help Talian from his dragon, the man found himself staring at the blank air left there. Eyes widening dramatically, B'jin's face blanched even as Larrikith's laughter filled his mind. Spinning around to stare around, B'jin spotted Talian curled up on the ground. Starting, the greenrider peered down at the young healer with wide eyes and a slightly befuddled expression. A moment later, he burst into spluttered laughter even as he watched Talian roll over ans smile up at the sky. Stepping closer, B'jin leaned over Talian and peered down at him with amusement. "Pretty, yes?"
Hello? Riding straps? Taking them off! Larrikith's indignant voice was broadcast to both men, and she stared at B'jin with irritation swirling through her otherwise amused eyes. "Oh! Sorry!" Throwing a cheerful wink at Talian, B'jin practically bound over to his dragon and quickly removed the straps from her little body, tossing them carelessly in a pile to one side, but well away from the water and out of direct sunlight. "Better?" B'jin teased, as Larrikith shook herself and then stretched her wings. Much! Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going exploring!
Not waiting for an answer, the little dragon trotted off casually between the large trees, her small form fitting just well enough though a bigger dragon would be less able to negate between the huge plants. "... Bye?" B'jin said vaguely, staring after her. "Watch out for felines!" He yelped suddenly after her. Larrikith's tail twitched and her laughter was for them both. I eat felines for breakfast! "But it's lunch time!" B'jin yelled in response, laughter thick in his voice. The green dragon didn't deign to answer him, and Larrikith soon vanished between the tree trunks, her grey toned mossy hide quickly melding with the scenery.
Taking his eyes from the general direction his dragon had vanished in, B'jin turned back to his healer boy, grinning happily once more as he took a couple of strides and then literally toppled to the ground, landing on his back beside Talian and reached out to grab the boy, tugging him gently to cuddle up with companionably. "So! Tell me something new!" He paused, and then gave Talian a devious wink, "and no work!"
