“Missed you too,” M’dox said softly, curling even closer to T’bia. So much better than a pillow could ever be, and M’dox liked pillows a lot. “Shouldn’t feel bad for spending time with your family, though,” he informed T’bia, trying to kiss him on the nose but missing slightly due to still being half asleep, and ending up kissing him somewhere on his cheek, “Family’s good.”
“Sleeping in together is something nice,” he murmured with a resigned sigh, indicating that he’d accepted that they almost certainly wouldn’t be doing that, “And it is much too early for you to be expecting me to have ideas other than ‘go back to sleep,’ you know.” Honestly, M’dox hadn’t even fully opened his eyes yet, he wasn’t awake enough to think of something to do. Still, turns of living on a farm meant M’dox woke up fairly quickly, and despite his protests he knew he would be just about fully awake in a minute. Unfortunately.
“What counts as nice, do you think?” he asked, trying to figure out what might meet the requirement. Did going to the Hold count? Was that nice? It was a bit too cold to go on a picnic or something, though they could go to Ista or even around Katila somewhere instead of somewhere near Telgar, Did going to a different Hold count as nice? Was any of that the sort of thing T’bia was thinking of? What did nice even mean?
“I dunno, I can’t really think of anything, I think any time spent with you is nice.” M’dox smiled at T’bia, shifting around so he could see his boyfriend better, since his eyes were actually open enough now he could properly see the bluerider. His favorite, favorite bluerider, and they could do just about anything that day and M’dox would enjoy it because it was with T’bia.
