T’ryn tried not to laugh at the admission that an extra pillow had been acquired to accommodate R’dal visits. They all had learned that lesson. If they didn’t, they were just used as the pillow, though that could still happen even if the proper supplies existed. The bluerider was just cuddly and as far as T’ryn knew, it was always platonic as well. At least, R’dal had never made any advances on him. Maybe it was just him and he didn’t appeal to R’dal. That seemed likely given his track record of striking out when trying for a relationship. He didn’t think it’d be polite to ask F’drel if he was only sleeping with R’dal or if there was more to it. It wasn’t his business anyway and would probably only bruise his ego and confidence all the more if his suspicions were confirmed.
“He has definitely always been like that. Naps at any random time and location, preferably with a friend cuddled up with him. It’s one of his odd quirks, but I’m sure you’ve already discovered a lot of them.” R’dal was a pretty open book, not seeing a need to lie or hide any facts. He could be hard to figure out, though, just because he didn’t act like everyone else or do what was expected. He had a unique way of looking at life and everything around him and T’ryn loved it, honestly. He had been told he had his own special way of seeing things as well given how he viewed some things in a technical manner and as a problem that needed to be solved.
“He’s one of the nicest guys you’ll ever meet despite his oddities that can be jarring if you don’t know him. And he’s hard to offend or upset, mostly because he doesn’t pay attention to what others think of him.” T’ryn smiled at F’drel, enjoying the easy talk about someone that wasn’t him. If people weren’t offering their pity to him for the Hatching, they were gossiping about it when they thought he couldn’t hear it. To have someone talk with him and not even mention it was a nice change. His gaze drifted out to the lake, vaguely watching the dragons as he pulled his knees up to his chest to rest his chin on them. “I wish more people were as genuine as Rista… uh, R’dal.” He was typically pretty good at using honorifics but sometimes a childhood nickname slipped out, especially when he was feeling nostalgic.
