So much happened in the moments after her impression to Tybalith. Tybalith, her joy, her love, her pride. Daelyne watched the rest of hatching with an air of boredom and a half curl to her lip, fingers moving to feed Tybalith and hissed lightly when the green nipped at a finger. "Really?" she said, "Was that necessary?" The green's amusement swamped her mind and Daelyne couldn't stop her answering grin. Merely an accident, Daelyne, Tybalith told her rider with laughter, Won't happen again. "Mhmm," Daelyne smoothed a hand down the wedged head, brilliant and toxic in it's coloring.
It was something different to be impressed. To be bonded with a dragon was like nothing she'd ever experienced. Tybalith's thoughts and emotions, her fears and her hungers all within her mind. There come more! the green said with excitement and Daelyne turned to watch the new impressions. She smirked as the new greens impressed boys. Only girl worthy of it. She had no doubts of that, though she would love to see Tala impress here.
Brown, bronze, and blue. More greens and finally that foolish gold.
What happened next would stay with Daelyne for the rest of her life. She'd been lucky that most of the hatchings she'd stood at had been rather tame in comparison. The death and blood that the gold put down was horrid. She looked so confused and so sad, Daelyne nearly felt sorry for her. She wanted nothing more than to wrap up in Tybalith and hide themselves away from the bloodshed. She heard some of what Indivara and T'ryn was saying, trying to focus on their words instead of the screaming of the gold candidate on the sands. "It's your fault she betweened you know," a voice hissed in her ear, "If your monstrosity had impressed properly, that gold would have had her bonded in you."
Daelyne spun, fist raised to punch one of the green impressed boys in the nose when Tybalith hissed and flared her wings and shooting in between Dae and the boy. SHE IS MINE! Not SOME FOOLISH GOLD'S. MINEMINEMINE! the little green screeched at him and Daelyne grabbed her head sharply. "If she wasn't so upset your nose would be broken," she nodded at the boy, "Remember that." She sneered at him as he cringed back and gathered Tybalith with her as she stomped away, the green puffed up like a pissed off cat. "Fucking dick wad," she muttered as she went to find a new place to stand.
