So far so good, if he had to be honest. He mostly Stood at Ista but had been compelled to try his hand at other Weyrs and gave Telgar a whirl. Going by what everyone was using as a standard now with the deadly Ista Hatching, Narinoa felt he could safely say this one was rather mundane and off to a good start. Sure, some of the siblings were squabbling but it was too be expected after coming fresh out of an egg and being so intelligent with their own personalities already on display. No doubt most of them would never get along given some of the traits he had already seen but their riders would help keep them in check.
When a cute little blonde gal Impressed to a green, he was among those that wasn't bothered by it. He might be holdbred and still hang onto some of the old stories and grudges from older Holders, but he'd been living in Ista Weyr for a turn now and was used to how most of the occupants there accepted M'ris' stance that women could Stand for fighter dragons if they wanted to. Narinoa liked the belief that any rider was a good rider since it kept the dragon alive. So seeing the pair so happy made him happy, just as much as their expressions daring someone to defy their right to be together had him grinning. He liked the girl's spunk! Apparently someone else did as well, going by the one very loud voice cheering her on as she walked off to bathe and feed the little green.
When a boy had the misfortune of tangling with a moody green, Narinoa's first instinct was to rush over and check on his wound. He had some medical knowledge, but it was with animals. Still, he had a kind heart and couldn't let someone bleed out if he knew how to stop the bleeding. But before he could take more than a few steps, a Healer came rushing from the sidelines to handle everything. Narinoa returned to his spot, shaking his head and slightly chagrined at having forgotten Healers would be on standby. Maybe his compassion would impress one of the dragonets?
And if he didn't Impress one of them, maybe he'd impress someone watching and have a date for the celebrations afterward.
