She'd stayed over at Telgar after the touching, Daelyne knew the hatching would and could happen at any time. Of course the blonde had no idea this particular clutch would decide to take it's own sweet time hatching. Not that she minded. She understood wanting to do things on her own time and she didn't doubt those dragonets wanted to hatch just the same. It was later, a change and frankly a welcomed one, that the humming began. Dae was getting quite put out by the fact so many of the hatchings decided to be born in the ass crack of dawn and not later in the day. Later in the day was by far the better option.
Daelyne was bright eyed and busy tailed, Pixie flopping around like a giant green moron in an attempt to make her lady laugh. Always worked. She hummed when she thought of the dalliances she'd managed to create here and was thankful there was always a dragonrider available to take her between. Course it always helped they were the reason she needed too. Couldn't very well do for her to pop up pregnant. Her one daughter was daughter enough and though she loved the girl, she had no desires to add to that group of spawn. Nope. Not her. The dragons called for the candidates and Daelyne did what she was supposed too. Pixie squawking about her as she got ready.
White robes, sturdy shoes and a tight braid. That was what she wore to the sands when the humming became much louder. She was later than the rest of the girls, her own sweet time was taken to get where she was going. She didn't want to stand for the gold egg, but she didn't want to take the chance that her own dragon was there and she missed it because of her own idiocy. She made Pixie sit on the sidelines, the green pouting and grumbling the entire time but she accepted her fate. Daelyne had to bribe her of course, ply her with lies of her own greendragon and a playmate that wasn't just a human toddler.
She nodded her hellos and moved to stand with the rest of the girls and tried to keep her thoughts clear and lip from curling. She didn't want to hang out around this gold egg. She'd much rather be huddled with the boys, waiting to see if a dragonet tumbled her way.
