Touching this egg felt a little like falling back asleep. Misharan was already tired and ready to fall back into bed to begin with, and this sleepy dragonet was only exacerbating that. He gave himself a mental shake to keep from falling asleep then and there on the Sands and he felt the sudden attention of the egg, who seemed to just then realize it wasn’t alone. Misha smiled at it and mentally reached out, wanting to be sure the dragonet knew he was there, and there to meet it. Slowly he felt the egg come closer, but instead of exploring his head like they usually did, it pulled him closer to it, letting them meld so it could learn about Misharan passively. It didn’t feel like poking around, it just wanted Misharan to rest there with it for a bit.
It’s a surreal experience, considering the dragonet didn’t seem to be as fully aware of itself as some of the others did, and Misha feels like he’s dreaming instead of at a Touching. Honestly, it felt kind of like being high, like he was and was not in his own body. At some point the dragonet seemed to realize it should let him go, and it slowly pulled away, leaving Misharan feeling a bit empty.
He blinked a lot, moving his hand from the egg and feeling a twinge in his arm. Apparently he had been standing there longer than he thought if his arm had gotten stiff. Shaking himself a little to try to bring himself more firmly into his body, Misha moved off towards the stands, thinking he should try to get his head a bit better in order before subjecting himself on a dragonet. They did need that from him.
