Jalazmar relaxed back into his chair when F'drel joined him and even took a sip of the drink. It didn't occur to him that the man could be faking it, even with his own wedding months earlier having poisoned drinks. If it wasn't for Gabrin's little shake of his head to tell him not to drink it, who knows what would have happened? But he wasn't being deceptive, outside of getting F'drel to join him, so he didn't imagine fake sipping would take place with him. He was harmless! All right, not entirely true; he was still a lord and wielded some level of power but he hardly used it.
He nodded at the correct assumption of when he was at Nabol and continued nodded as the explanation came to light. It did make sense, he had his own memories that aligned with F'drel's. "He was that way even with us. Lords shouldn't be goofing off when there was plenty of history, geography, and family lines to learn. Truth be told, I had quite a few lectures from him," Jalazmar grimaced but was soon chuckling before taking a swig of juice.
"Surely your siblings have mentioned Xyliah and I are nothing like the Nabol Lords, though?" They weren't like any lords that he knew of thanks to their lack of knowing what the hell they should be doing. He really should have paid more attention to some lessons but he never imagined the Fort Lord Holder to gift him an operational hold and land for his wedding gift. "They're given free time daily, usually in the morning as we're late risers, and my wife does her best to give them all a day off together."
That reminded him, he actually had that written down somewhere. He set his glass down and checked a couple of pockets before finding the small folded piece of paper and set it on the small table between them. "Xyliah wrote out their schedule for the month for you. She wanted you to feel welcome as well and thought it'd help if you knew exactly when they would be available for visits."
