Early on, when her relationship with glee was still platonic, Indivara had quickly discovered that she enjoyed being held. It made her feel safe, and warm, without her ever feeling as if she was in a position of vonrability . Indivara didn’t do weak - or at least, not on view of other people.
Being held by R’vi was very different from Val; their entire build was so different and Indivara felt even smaller than usual, pressed up against R’vi. It wasn’t even that he was taller than Val (she figured they were about the same) but the overall build of his body was different. And his smell. And the soft rumble she could hear in his chest when he laughed and spoke.
It wasn’t a bad difference - it was still comfortable, because it was R’vi - but it wasn’t Val, and that just meant it wasn’t quite as good. Nonetheless, Indivara nuzzled against R’vi as he spoke, only half listening.
“Too little,” Indivara giggles, making a very rare quip about her height. “Not enough distance between down and up.” Which was true enough! When you didn’t even make five feet, it wasn’t like there was a whole lot of you to fall down, or to pick back up! Still giggling to herself about her witty comeback (that she definitely would have committed murder over if voiced by anyone but herself) Indivara agreed easily to R’vi’s suggestion, and let him go slowly.
“I don’t know where I left my cup,” she said, face an expression of blank confusion. What had she done with it? Did she finish it? What had she even been drinking? Indivara’s eyebrows furrowed and she turned around in a slow circle, looking confused. Her face lit up when she spotted it, then tumbled into a scowl as she picked it up. Stupid cup! Without comment, she handed it to R’vi.
“I’ll meet you out there,” she said lightly, smiling and leaning up to place a soft kiss on R’vi’s cheek. Shooting him another placid smile, Indivara wandered over to the couch, humming one of Val’s tunes under her breath as she yanked a couple of throws off the piece of furniture, and lugged them out to the dragons. It wasn’t cool enough to curl up under them, but t was cool enough that sitting on cold rock sounded unpleasant to Indivara.
