Mylorah laughed at his Holder’s voice. She really didn’t have any idea how a lord sounded and was guilty of doing the same kind of ridiculous and over the top voice as well. It probably sounded worse when she did it since she had to lower her voice and try to sound manly. When she did a Lady’s voice, it was always higher pitched and breathy and usually ended with her giggling at it. Giving the illusion of privacy – as if she hadn’t been scoping out him out before – she turned her attention to tidying up, returning everything to the bag and glancing around once more to ensure nothing was missed. She was great at forgetting something and not remembering until she was back in her room, or worse, already in bed.
She returned to the threat to come up with a nickname while she cleaned up. She knew her name wasn’t really easy to hack apart more than her friends did with ‘Mylo’ but she loved the nickname as much as people using her full name. But for Misharan to have a special name to call her in return to her own would be sweet, and no doubt play up the rumours that they were sleeping together if anyone overheard the affectionate names.
Momentarily distracted again from the name game, Mylorah smiled and took the offered arm. “That would be most kind of you, my lord.” She grabbed the towel from Misharan and slung it over her shoulder away from him and fell in step with him as they began the journey back to her room. She debated going right to Casa’s but this way meant she was less likely to leave a trail of her belongings as she went.
“You know, we could be Mimi and Mymy. We’d sound absolutely selfish,” she wrinkled her nose at the idea but also kind of adored it. It was so silly and fun, and what was the point in having friends if you couldn’t be silly and fun together? “Although if you ever to chide me over something. You’d sound a bit crazy. ‘My, my, my, Mymy,’” that was enough to send her into another fit of giggles, imagining the looks her friend would receive and how they’d likely think him crazy or that he lost his train of though and only remembered the one word.
