“Oh I just bet he did. R’vi’s quite good at introducing himself,” the bluerider had taken up the mantle of Candi Man and seemed to have fun with it, though she didn’t think he made to many trips to the other Weyrs to perform such duties. Maybe only when he was already there, he did. She also wondered if the other Weyrs had an official greeter or two like Ista now had with R’vi; and sometimes even herself. She’d have to ask around. “Be warned, though, that just like partying with R’vi, stopping by to say hi is often clothing optional.” Mylorah laughed but was telling the truth. She was actually sad she was so much younger than the twins. It sounded like she missed out on some amazing parties back in Katila before they Impressed. Their UnImpressed parties were legendary.
At the request to let R’dal know he should look for Misharan, Mylorah nodded before she began washing her hair, working the soapsand in at the roots. It was fun having someone to gossip with and chat boys with. It wasn’t that she was lacking in friends like that, but Misharan was so much fun and had a playful streak that matched hers. He was also open and didn’t seem to care about sharing or have a need to be mysterious. “I’ll give you all the sordid details even if you aren’t my wingman if that makes you feel better,” she worked the soap down the long strands of dark hair, wondering not for the first time if she should cut it short to save time bathing and getting ready for bed or for the day. But, as always, she decided against it, loving it long too much.
She dipped her head back to let her hair soak in the water again, getting a lovely view of the ceiling as she continued speaking, “If they broke up and Casa invited me to her comfy goldrider bed the next day, I wouldn’t turn her down. We’re friends and she wouldn’t be sleeping with my brother anymore so I don’t see any harm in it.” Mylorah wondered if that was being weyrbred again or if holders thought like that as well. Given what Misharan had already told her about them being married if they were caught like they currently were in a bath together, she doubted holders were the same. Did they even date before committing themselves to one person? That sounded depressing. “Just like I don’t care if friends sleep with my siblings. It’s their choice, I’m not going to meddle.” Still, while she didn’t mind, she had worried in the past if T’ryn felt the same way. She could easily imagine him at least pouting at R’dare for sleeping with her since they were friends.
Sitting back up, Mylorah squeezed the excess water from her hair and moved on to scrubbing down her upper body, “see, that’s the issue with Siroll. He was Searched less than a year ago and from what you’ve been saying, casual flings might not be something he’s used to. I’d hop in bed with him, probably more than once if we had fun, but I don’t want anything serious.” She may not have inherited her father’s fair appearance but she did get his commitment issues. Mylorah didn’t want to open herself up to someone only to have them toss her aside when they grew bored, which was why she kept everything casual and between friends. She also just didn’t see the point of being tied down to one person when there were so many people to continue having fun with.
“I wouldn’t make a very good holder, would I?” She frowned, but wasn’t that concerned at the idea. She loved Weyr life too much to ever consider trying to fit in with the holders.
