Misharan really loved the communal dining halls of the Weyrs. It made it much easier to make new friends or run into old ones, and honestly eating was more fun when you weren’t alone. He’d been eating with a few Candidates he knew from Fort, catching up with them on what they’d all been up to since the last Hatching. The last of them had just left dinner, however, and Misharan wasn’t quite ready to leave. Going back to the crowded barracks wasn’t appealing just yet, so he got up for some more dessert. Might as well put the time to good use!
On his way back, plate piled high with goodies, he noticed someone part of the way under a table. He frowned at the figure, wondering why they were down there. The dress was familiar, and he realized it was one Mylorah had worn a few weeks ago. Presumably that meant the person under the table was Mylorah herself, unless she was in the habit of sharing her clothing. Misharan grinned, not at all sure what she was doing but glad he still had someone to talk to in the dining hall.
“Now, I’m not an expert at identifying people by their asses, but I’m pretty sure that’s you, Mylo.” He said, crouching down to see her better. “What are you doing down there? I promise the food up here is better than whatever’s down there.” Honestly, did someone get into a food fight he missed? Everyone decided to give the people who had to clean the place extra work tonight? Cause he could have sworn this wasn’t the creche.
