V’ler knew before Veeth said anything that they were all going. He knew as soon as his dragon heard about snow and what fun it would be that nothing would change his mind. He really wasn’t a fan of the idea but figured with enough layers and parking regularly by the fire pits, he should stay relatively warm and still seem like he was being social. Not that he cared if others thought he was or not but, like Indivara, he knew when to pick his battles and he didn’t want to have to put up with his ‘mate’ and his dragon harping on him for the next month because he didn’t want to frolic in cold, fluffy, white stuff. He was from a colder region in the North. He knew what it was and how uneventful it could be.
It was pretty though.
So with a sigh, he layered up, put on a scarf he had purchased at a gather just before the cold season started, and tucked the notebook Mulrissa had given him into his bag. With a final glance to his warm home, V’ler mounted up and followed his friends to the location R’nd and Ayyonth had shared with them previously.
Yep, snow was still pretty with the way it blanketed everything and made the world seem fresh and new. He also liked how it seemed to muffle the everyday noises that were so commonplace that they weren’t really noticed until gone. At least, it was quiet until they were close enough to hear other people laughing and hollering as they played.
With another sigh, V’ler dismounted, pulling his scarf down enough to be polite as he responded to a question tossed their way by some random person he assumed lived on the farm. When Indivara called for his attention, he turned around just in time to be greeted with a face full of snow. He was so excited she had already discovered one of the perks of snow and how well it smashed into someone else. He suppressed yet another sigh just in time to be given a kiss which actually earned Indivara a rare moment of surprise as he quirked a brow at her. Were they playing up their status today for the benefit of all to keep the rumours flowing?
It could be a farewell kiss, he decided, as he wiped snow from his face, and turned on his heel to mount back up and head home. Only, Veeth had other ideas, as V’ler watched his excitable dragon prancing around in the snow, stopping only to stick his nose in it and blow, causing it to puff up around him. Veeth was nearly shrieking in delight as he bounced away after Venseth to see what other people were up to and V’ler put a hand to his head, wondering not for the first time how they ended up together.
Giving in, V’ler pulled the scarf back up over his mouth and followed after Indivara and R’vi.
