“Kerrin created my style,” Indivara responded dryly, brushing a speck of imaginary dust off her hip with a snort. She’d always been happy to wear whatever fit, which was a good thing, considering she grew up in Katila and not some fancy holding. But Kerrin had always been obsessed with clothing, something that had not improved when the Stolen started rolling in and he got to see what ‘real people’ wore on a day to day basis. She was somewhat surprised her greenriding friend hadn’t forced himself into some Hall or another (she assumed there was a clothing-making Hall but didn’t care enough to educate herself on the matter) regardless of his eyesore for a dragon.
Honestly, he probably had, despite all the rules, regulations and other shit he’d have to avoid all together to get into a Hall. She wouldn’t be surprised in the slightest.
“It’s not?” Indivara asked of R’nd’s retreating back, a frown furrowing her eyebrows as she turned slightly to watch him make his way to the counter. She watched as he left her standing there, but his nod to her had her blinking before she realised the conversation wasn’t actually over, he was just making a show of being in charge. Indivara rolled her eyes dramatically, huffed a sigh and finished her shopping, not bothering to rush, nor glance out the window to see if R’nd was still there. When she’d finished, and paid, Indivara was slightly surprised to see R’nd still outside waiting for her.
An eyebrow arched up at R’nd’s statement, but she took the rose lightly and shook her head, not bothering to reply to his comment of beauty. She twirled the stem between her fingers, the rose hovering under her nose, and she enjoyed the scent for a few moments as she waited to see whether R’nd was going to continue the conversation or if he had just been waiting to give her the rose. Either was as likely at the other, in her opinion. He could be weird like that.
Indivara lifted her eyes, attention shifting to R’nd when he spoke. She frowned slightly at first, before blushing brightly as he walked away. Swallowing her surprise, Indivara’s frown returned as she trotted to catch up with her fellow bluerider’s much longer stride. He might have been walking slowly, but his steps were hardly short! When she caught up with him, she adjusted her pace to match his, used to walking fast to keep up with taller folks, though it was part of why she enjoyed being around V’ler, R’vi and others – they weren’t tall as mountains!
It took her a few moments to think of something to say, as she looped her arm through R’nd’s and focused on the street before them, watching other people go about their business. “Kinda like you and B’jin, huh?” she asked innocently, glancing slyly up at R’nd to see how he’d take the comparison.
