D'ren smiled, wholly charmed by the little gold. She clearly already had an idea of how she liked things; remarkable for a beat not yet 24 hours old! "Well, Krypth," he said dotingly, reaching out to offer his hand for her to sniff. "That's a good idea, but not entirely feasible! You see, you will grow very quickly....and before you know it, you'll already be too large to fit in Jada's bed with her," he said. "The stone bed on the floor is designed to suit your needs as you grow."
This was going to be a good one, he thought proudly.
He turned his attention back to Jada. "He did the first night," he replied. "More often, he would curl up at the foot of my bed or rest his head on the edge as close to me as he could. He outgrew that stage pretty quickly, though," he said. Of course, some of the dragonets would stay small for longer, but Krypth would not be one of them. There was no telling how large she'd be, but she would be larger than most by default.
D'ren smiled as Krypth's head slid into his lap. "Aw, she's fine," he sighed almost protectively, reaching out and stroking the dragonet's hide with a gentle hand. The little queen's assertiveness was already plainly visible. "She's more than welcome, she's not bothering anything."
D'ren didn't notice Charath or Erisi. Ronarth was another story. He didn't see the greenling, but Erisi was the unfortunate recipient of Ronarth's attention...at the worst possible time. Ronarth craned his head over to Erisi and purred a greeting.
Are you happy now? Ronarth asked eagerly, his mind going back to their first meeting where he'd asked Eri 'don't you want to have a dragon?'. He had one now! He ought to be happy, that was for sure. Ronarth had no idea that he was holding Erisi up at a crucial moment.
Without giving personal space a second thought, Ronarth went to nuzzle the green weyrling.
