“How does three days from now sound?” T’bia asked, looking up from his own washing to see M’dox rather occupied with his own. He watched the other dragonrider curiously for a few moments, not aware of his staring. It was always interesting to see how people did the same tasks in different ways.
“I don’t imagine anything particularly important will pop up then?” Of course, that would be their luck, actually going out and making plans, that something would crop up and prevent them from going on their outing. T’bia smiled ruefully. “If something does come up, we have dragons!” He grinned impishly, flushed slightly, and returned his attention to his laundry.
Shoving the rest of it in the basket he planned to have Jycenth carry back to their weyr, T’bia lifted his gaze to M’dox’s and smiled shyly. “I think I’m done here.” He announced, though it was somewhat redundant as he stood there fiddling with his fingers, washing now clean and still wet. He’d hang it up when he got back to his weyr, and Jycenth would spend the next couple of hours ducking under the stings of line T’bia had stowed away for drying his laundry.
“See you in three days?” He asked, wanting to reaffirm their, well, not date (he flushed at the thought) but their arrangement. Yes, that sounded much more official and proper!
