N’mor studied Z’rin carefully, his eyes thoughtful. That Z’rin ahd offered an easy escape did not go without notice by the young bronzerider, but rather, it was why he paused. Part of him wondered what this bluerider’s plans were, that he was eager to send a bronzerider (even a young one) on his way. It would go against N’mor’s nature to think Z’rin’s reasoning was purely simple in that he’d realised he’d interrupted N’mor. Instead, N’mor saw the nefarious side, and it gave him pause.
“No other plans,” he said, more or less honestly. Oiling Rhezalth would have to wait until the bronze beast was dry, and that would take a while. All hanging out in the rain would do would be to push it back a few hours. Maybe until tomorrow, but it wasn’t a huge deal; Rhezalth could wait and the bronze was curious about N’mor’s thought patterns, and didn’t mind putting off his oiling in order to watch the events before him play out.
N’mor’s left eyebrow arched slightly as he caught Z’rin’s eye. “The lake at (Telgar ) Telgar full?” It was said casually, but the way N’mor was watching Z’rin was steady and serious. He was curious why the bluerider had opted to fill their lake with his dirty hide instead of their home one. N’mor knew a lot of the dragonriders came to Ista to spend time on the beaches, but there had been few and far between with all the rain, and usually they only greeted the Watch dragon before moving on. Not many (any?) landed in the basin. He waited for Z’rin’s answer.
