Razzah began to worry slightly when there were only five eggs left; he wondered if he had not been worthy enough. He watched with some amusment at the antics of the hatchlings when they arrived and he felt happy for the candidates who had impressed. When the final dragonet went to someone else Razzah was happy for them of course but he was overcome with a since of emptyness. He stood there only a few moments longer before leaving; he beat a hastey retreat so that none would see the pain or tears in his eyes.
He had failed to impress, he had been unworthy of any of them and he couldn't blame anyone but himself; after all who was there to blame? no one. Razzah didn't even wanna be in the weyr right then so he rushed back to change where he had changed at before then left. some tried to stop him and offer condolences or make him do some chore; but he blew them off and just left the weyr.
Once he was finally alone as far away the main weyr as he could get he let his sorrow and greif pour from him. His dream had been given just within grasp then crushed at the very edge of his fingertips.
