R’vi was content to just laugh and enjoy the random turn of their conversation as Indivara vented about Rhaedalyn and had a one-sided conversation with her dragon since he didn’t have much else to add. He hadn’t spent much time with Rhaedalyn but the little that he had, he knew she was indeed sweet and kind. She also wasn’t his type though she was pretty enough. She just seemed too fragile and too girly. There was also the little fact that she had R’nya as a guardian and father to her child. That whole situation screamed death trap and R’vi was very happy with being very much alive these days.
“Hm?” R’vi replied, a bit distracted as he returned from his mind’s wandering journey down ladies he would and wouldn’t bed. When the question tossed so casually his way sank in, R’vi chuckled thinking it was a joke or possibly even a complaint about how much her mate’s dragon, Veeth, chased. He glanced at the dragons that were now doing their own version of play wrestling, rolled his eyes, and turned back to Indivara who seemed intent on maintaining the casual air around her; meaning it likely wasn’t a joke or some sort of set up to tease him with.
“A few times. He doesn’t give in to every green that rises but yeah, we’ve been in a few chases.” He wanted to ask why, to see where the question headed but R’vi knew better than to push Indivara too much on serious topics. If she was annoyed by V’ler sleeping with the entire greenrider population then she’d say so without prodding. Then again, maybe he was looking at it wrong. His gaze went back to the pair of blue dragons and R’vi considered the alternative. Was it Venseth causing Indivara to worry?
“But every dragon is different, right? I know there are some people in the Weyr that tease me because they think I should have bonded to a dragon that’s always in the sky and others that say I should be on a blue that doesn’t chase at all given my own activities.” R’vi shrugged, showing it didn’t really matter what others thought about him and his sexual habits. “I enjoy when he does but I don’t worry when he doesn’t.” It was the best advice he had, especially since he didn’t entirely know what was bugging his friend. He had suspicions now but still didn’t want to come out and say anything.
