Hello loves! While I haven't been writing, I have been working on updating some issues that have been hanging around on the layout! The Character change box is now at the bottom of the page, beside the up/down arrows! Green and Gold dragon flight dates have been shifted to the bottom of the page, where the (useless!) discord widget was located. Where the dragon flights were in the header, is now replaced by a Monthly Event box! This will be updated at the start of each month, with a fun mini-event you can take part in, if you want to! Hair: Long coppery hair with a slight wave to it that reaches nearly to her waist. Other than the colour, she finds her hair rather plain. It’s not gloriously straight nor does it have amazing curls. When she’s not wearing it loose, she keeps her hair bound in a braid to keep it out of the way when doing chores or sleeping.

General Appearance: Petite and lithe, Vessaelia gives off the impression that she’s weak and helpless. While mostly true, she is still toned from lifting buckets of water for washing and scrubbing of laundry and assisting with bathing dragons when asked. She’s fond of her size and finds clothes fit her meagre curves nicely; she may not be as busty as some women flaunting what they have but she thinks she has a perfectly delightful cup size.
Dressing Style: She prefers dresses that are a bit tighter on top and flow loose at the waist, not really caring about colour, though she does own a plain smock for the times she’s doing laundry or a particularly distasteful chore. When necessary, she will put on pants or even shorts depending on the activity.

When she’s not trying to impress her superiors with playing the role of the good student or good potential wife candidate, Vessaelia has a bit of playful side, though that comes out more when around people she trusts enough to call friends. She’s naturally shy and quiet around people she doesn’t know well and gets a bit nervous when too much attention is put on her when she’s not expecting it or simply doesn’t want it. Otherwise, she has a fairly bubbly personality and once she gets over her awkwardness or fear of being spoken to, she’ll chat endlessly and has plenty of smiles to give out.
Since moving to a Weyr, Vessaelia has found she enjoys the rush she gets from being, in her mind, naughty. Whether that’s something as innocent as sneaking out after curfew or something a bit more daring like flight mothing. She’s also come to realize she likes older men and after losing her virginity and enjoying casual sex her upbringing originally thought was sinful and made her a whore, Vessaelia’s taken her sneaking around to a fun new level that involves meeting up with sexy older men on occasion. Her Holder breeding still has her in moments of guilt or questioning what she’s doing so she has yet to full embrace this new side of herself but she’s enjoying the little bit of freedom she’s allowed herself to have.

Weryrleader S'kef: From what she heard, he sounded like a horrible person and she’s glad she hasn’t crossed paths with him.
Firelizards: Adorable but she’s not sure she wants one.

Return North: She supposes it’s a good thing overall, but on a personal level, she’s still trying to decide if Weyr life is for her if she’d be better off in a Hold somewhere with no knowledge of dragons existing.

Dresses and Pretty Things: Vessaelia was raised to be a lady and she likes being one and looking like one.
Bubble Baths and Perfumes: Bubble baths are a new luxury and Vessaelia loves them. Scented oils also make her feel luxurious and she saves up for both items every chance she can get.
Boys: She’s a bit boy crazy and gets crushes easily. She prefers older men, though, as they’ll protect her and give her a steady future.
Sewing: While she is handy with a thread and needle and can hem and mend clothing, Vessaelia prefers to make little stuffed toys.
Dislikes:
The Dark: There’s just something unsettling about the unknown. She doesn’t like not knowing if someone’s in the room with her or an animal slinking around. Her night vision isn’t the strongest and she’ll often stumble around and worry about tripping over something.
Bugs and Creepy Crawlies: She is very much a girly girl in all aspects and hates bugs. She’ll scream if one is on her or even in her room and isn’t a fan of playing in forests.
Being Told No: She knows her place in society but that still doesn’t mean she wants to be denied things she desires. Being the youngest, she got a lot of hand me downs and wasn’t able to get many things new. ‘No’ is one of her least favourite words and her perfect man would spoil her and dote on her endlessly –and be gorgeous, of course.
Strengths:
Sympathic: If someone is in need, even if it’s just to have someone listen to them, Vessaelia is there, offering proper words of encouragement or support.

Background Story:
718 & Born: Vessaelia is the fourth and final child for her parents.
719-724 & 1-5: Nothing overly exciting happens in her toddler years though all of her siblings are taking lessons and playing with her less.
725-727 & 6-9: Begins taking her own lessons, focusing evenly on reading, writing, and math with a Harper and basic sewing and cooking with her mother to help prepare her for marriage proposals, making her seem more appealing.
728 & 10: Her brother marries early in the year and by the end of it he has become the lord of their small hold as their father dies from a fever in the winter.
730 & 12: Her eldest sister is married off to a nearby cothold. Vessaelia finds she doesn’t like her family continuing to fall apart but also is a bit jealous that everyone is finding someone to be with, even if it’s more political and not for love.
731 & 13 Her other sister has been promised to a minor lordling in Lemos through a series of letters. Vessaelia continues her lessons, knowing her brother would be giving her away soon as well.
732 & 14: Spring sees her sister packed up with a caravan heading to Limos. Vessaelia has a feeling this is the last time she’ll see her and asks to go as well. Her brother refuses, though he’s having trouble finding someone else to marry her off to. He debates sending her to a Hall as kitchen staff or to become a tailor.
733-735 & 15-17: Other than casual flirting at Gathers, Vessaelia hasn’t found anyone truly worth her attention though she teases her brother about running off with a local boy. Mostly she helps around the hold and assists with care for her nephews. Near the end of 735 her mother passes away.
736 & 18: Bluerider @"R’nd" Searches her on his stop to the surrounding holds of Bitra. She is reluctant to go as she has been primed for marriage and was looking forward to it if anyone would ever take her. Her brother makes the decision that she should go as it would be easier and cheaper for him.
737 & 19: The year starts with her realizing she had gotten a bit too tipsy at the New Year’s Eve gather the night before and lost her virginity to the cute and also drunk greenrider @"C’dhin". She’s embarrassed and worries about her reputation until remembering where she now lives and that it would be normal. The year progresses with her slowly trying to adapt to her new life and the culture and on a dare even flight moths with another girl about her age. It was exhilarating, though a bit scary, and Vessaelia starts to realize that some aspects of the Weyr life isn’t so bad.
738 & 20: Continues to take classes, help in the laundry and kitchen areas when ordered to, and enjoys the occasional flight mothing to revel in the rush of fear of the unknown. Who will she end up with? How will he treat her? Will he be hot and fall madly in love with her afterward?

She heard the screech of a green dragon taking off to lead the interested dragons around the Weyr in a merry flight and a shiver ran through her. It had been a while since she last ‘accidentally’ got caught up in a flight and she missed the thrill it gave her. Maybe she could make it in time if she were to forgo the rest of her breakfast. She toyed with her lower lip, worrying it between teeth as she contemplated the idea. She’d been asked to help in washing linens after she ate but that wasn’t anything that couldn’t keep until she got there if she had a good reason to be late. If she had learned one thing about living in a Weyr was that flights were an excellent excuse running late or dishevelled appearances. Oh, and sex was such a common place thing that they wouldn’t even judge her for it. If anything, she’d likely be asked who she partnered with, though that wasn’t any of their business! A girl had to have some secrets; especially if she wanted to properly gossip about it and tease the others with hints and tidbits first.
Vessaelia grabbed up her dishes and dumped them in the soaking bucket as she tried to make a discreet but quick departure. She heard a couple of comments about who was flying and saw a bluerider making a beeline toward a weyr and she casually followed behind him. She was a bit disappointed that it was Coroth flying since she still had a bit of a crush on her rider, C’dhin, but he usually made himself scarce when other females took to the skies, not wanting to be grabbed by a lusty rider when they lost.
She was fantasizing about the various blueriders that could be chasing and even a brownrider or two she wouldn’t mind comforting in their loss when she saw the gaggle of men around their target. Remembering what she had been taught by a helpful female weyrbrat about her age, Vessaelia hung back out of the way and scouted the men, looking for the one she wanted and a backup just in case the first one won or paired with another. It was fascinating to watch the riders give into their dragons’ lust and the trust the pairs had in each other. Some of the men she saw were fiercely independent and gave off such strong alpha vibes that it was interesting to see them all but salivating on the greenrider they crowded around and sometimes stole a touch or kiss from.
A glance up at another screech confirmed a victory was moments from happening and Vessaelia jumped into action, walking right for the man she wanted. She never made it, though, having misjudged the timing and was snagged by another loser in the crowd. She gave a girly squeal of delight and giggled as the man forcefully pushed her against the wall and started exploring with lips and hands. She lifted her hands above her head to allow the rider easy access to anything he wanted, making her feel like such a whore, wantonly begging for his touch and outside someone’s home up against their wall.
All of her morals and upbringing screamed at her to stop playing so openly and with a man she wasn’t married to at that! But it was so exciting, especially when life was so filled with routine. Being surrounded by hot men did nothing to help her desires either. At least this way she could pretend it wasn’t her hormones that had her seeking out a companion but a simple fact of life in Telgar Weyr that happened so regularly that people only cared if a couple ended up on the kitchen table or in the middle of a lesson.
An hour later and Vessaelia ran her hands down her dress to ensure everything was back in place and her recently rebraided hair was tossed over her shoulder to help complete the look of a civilized young lady and not that of a young strumpet. She quickly made her way out of the commandeered weyr, leaving behind the rider that was still a bit dazed and collecting himself. She had things to do and didn’t want to upset anyone by being late!
When she made her way into the washing room, a pleasant smile was on her face and a polite greeting was given to the other women already there. She was only a few minutes late, thankfully, and no one seemed to grill her over it. The eldest woman in the room earned a quick peck to the cheek and a warm smile, “hello, grandmother,” Vessaelia greeted the woman with fondness and while she wasn’t related to her in any way, everyone seemed to call her that and it was easy to see why. The old woman greeted the new arrivals, whether as Candidate or a worker looking for new life, with kindness and open arms and it didn’t take long to like and trust her.
