R’nd had spent most of the day out socializing as well, though he had meandered over to Fort Weyr instead of the Hold or Harper Hall. He had set up a day visiting Rhaedalyn with T’bia, since they both still seemed a bit too shy to actually get around to doing so themselves. It had become a sort of tradition since the first time he had arranged their meeting of each other but R’nd didn’t mind since he called them both friends as well and enjoyed time with them.
It had been good to get out of Telgar for a bit, though he had adapted easily with calling it home and even enjoyed lending a hand with getting the last little details finalized in the common areas. But some of his friends had gone to other Weyrs and R’nd wasn’t about to let locations put a damper on things when a little trip between fixed it all in seconds. So he had gathered up T’bia with some snacks and they headed to Fort to visit Rhaedalyn and check on Aradissicath who was once again sand bound. It had been a lot of fun and R’nd suspected the goldrider enjoyed getting away for a bit as well and it even looked like T’bia wasn’t as nervous around Alyren and Varlea as he sometimes seemed to be in the past. All in all, it was a good day and it ended with Rhaedalyn giving them each a sweet kiss to the cheek. R’nd saw how much it caused both of his friends to blush and he couldn’t resist a light chuckle.
Returning to Telgar Weyr saw the blueriders parting ways with a promise to get together in a couple of days for the dragons to have their own lunch date. R’nd was nearly bouncing with each step as he entered his weyr, pleased with the day and happy he had such good friends. A smile appeared when Ayyonth mentioned Larrikith was visiting, which likely meant B’jin was there as well. He peaked his head in to Ayyonth’s side to greet the plump green dragon and then left the dragons to their own devices as he went on the hunt for the greenrider.
R’nd took a moment to remove his jacket and boots, draping one over a chair and leaving the other neatly set beside it, and then paused as he caught one of his favourite sounds. The bouncing step returned as he headed for his bedroom where the guitar and singing was coming from. He paused by the door, hesitating to interrupt the moment. B’jin wasn’t exactly known to be shy when it came to performing but R’nd felt this time was a bit different and more just for the greenrider’s personal enjoyment while he killed time.
Even if he was wrong, R’nd leaned against the hall wall, quietly listening a little longer, enjoying both his lover’s voice and paying attention to the lyrics as B’jin had a way of truly telling the story the words represented until you got caught up in the moment. Finally, not wanting to be too much of a creeper – especially if Larrikith already ratted him out – R’nd appeared in the doorway, pausing a moment to take in the view of B’jin lying on the bed playing guitar and then sauntered over to the greenrider to sit by his legs. He wanted nothing more than to greet the man with a kiss but he also didn’t want to distract from the playing.
