“Hmm, maybe,” R’nd considered the offer, smiling slightly at the lick to his cheek but too lost in thought to really take much more notice of it. It may have been due to his playboy nature and lack of real understanding over what couples did, but he wasn’t adverse to the idea of a joint gift because it meant serious commitment. In fact, if they were discussing N’mor’s birthday, R’nd would have been all over the idea of signing a card from both B’jin and him since the boy still scared him and he had no idea what to get. “I don’t want Amorandii to have one less gift because I couldn’t think of something wonderful for her,” he finally stated with a frown before B’jin tossed out an idea.
R’nd was going to point out that A’dris likely wasn’t afraid of B’jin, because really, who could be afraid of him? But he held his tongue in the end as memories of a time when he was rather awkward around the greenrider came back to him and how it could have been seen as being afraid. In a way, he supposed it was fear. The fear of rejection and abandonment he struggled with since the Plague and perhaps even earlier than that given how he sometimes felt his father approve of actions as much as he did his siblings.
“That, my dear, is a wonderful idea!” Jewellery was something he could work with and A’dris was a man he could approach; although he was a Weyrleader now which meant he was definitely busy now. Still, if that fell through, he’d ask Eridella where she bought her necklaces and he’d go from there.
“Brilliant and beautiful,” R’nd complimented and finally started to pay more attention to the little nibbles of affection. With a few easy movements, R’nd switched their positions so B’jin was on his back once more and the bluerider was looming over him with a twinkle of lustful mischief in his eyes. “Do you have an early start tomorrow, love?”
