Hello loves! While I haven't been writing, I have been working on updating some issues that have been hanging around on the layout! The Character change box is now at the bottom of the page, beside the up/down arrows! Green and Gold dragon flight dates have been shifted to the bottom of the page, where the (useless!) discord widget was located. Where the dragon flights were in the header, is now replaced by a Monthly Event box! This will be updated at the start of each month, with a fun mini-event you can take part in, if you want to! Rhaedalyn happily curled up against R’nya, enjoying the excuse to cuddle a bit more, especially after such a strenuous work out. She blushed as she thought back to what acts they had done and how it wasn’t very lady-like of her but they had both enjoyed themselves and R’nya didn’t seem like he was going to tease her for anything she had done so the building tension faded away before it settled in. It was nice being able to open up in different ways with R’nya and have it feel normal. She hadn’t felt so relaxed around someone in a long time. Thinking on it, she wasn’t even sure she had felt this way around Z’ia. Then again, she had been head over heels with the bluerider and always put pressure on herself to be the best she could be and impress the man to earn his affections. It was amazing how silly she could act for a man in order to earn his praise and love.
R’nya was different and someone she could always count on and that made him all the more wonderful than he already was. He’d always looked out for her since coming to Katila and trying to find her place in the new world. He befriended her, guided her when it was needed, and was even a protector of sorts. The sudden swell of fondness for the bronzerider earned him Rhaedalyn sitting up just enough to place an affectionate kiss to his cheek before settling back down against his chest.
The thought of Aradissicath being one of the first to clutch in the North after twenty years made Rhaedalyn smile. She knew the gold dragon would be pleased with that knowledge as well, especially if she was the actual first. Everyone would definitely come to watch the hatching! Sure, there had been several hatchings in Katila since their return to the public’s eye but this was different. This was more traditional and real. This was their Weyr now, a real Weyr! She adored Katila for what it was but Fort Weyr was one of the original homes to the dragons, R’nya’s original home as well, and now perhaps even more people could make their way to the hatchings.
Once more Rhaedalyn was sitting up enough that she could look R’nya in the eye as she added to his statement, “we’ve come so far because of you. You’ve been such a good wingleader and example to the young riders and even the older riders that may have forgotten how to behave. And now, you’re helping to rebuild the greatness of Fort Weyr. You are a wonderful man, R’nya.” Another kiss was given to his cheek before Rhaedalyn wistfully continued, “I wish I could be a fraction of what you are, but I’ll do my best to help out in every way and place I can and be a role model to the young ladies wishing to Impress a gold dragon as well.”
