The shock of her slap didn’t last long as rage narrowed eyes that had been blurry from drunkenness and the man didn’t loosen his grip either so Quilriana was beyond relieved when she heard R’nya’s voice and felt his reassuring touch. She had never thought about herself as a damsel in distress but there were definitely times she was willing to be as thankful as one and wanted nothing more than to throw herself into arms. “Everything is fine now. These men were--” a grunt of annoyance cut her off and Quilriana turned her attention back on the man standing beside the one holding her arm.
“A few. Starting with you interrupting our fun.” He looked ready to fight and Quilriana was once more worried about the noise it would cause and if anything would end up broken in a fight. She didn’t want to explain anything to her family and tried to quickly come up with a solution to the mess she had landed in.
“The bitch slapped me,” the younger man finally spat out the words from a mouth that almost seemed to forget how to speak.
“So hit her back. She’s clearly gone wild and needs some retraining.” The men didn’t seem too concerned with R’nya’s presence and while Quilriana knew he was rather okay with being lost in the shadows and left alone, she also knew he had quite the aura around him that could be intimidating when he wanted to be. Why else would a bronze dragon want to Impress to him if he couldn’t command a room with simply a look?
She felt her own cheek sting not even seconds after the words registered as a heavy palm smacked against her cheek. The man had let go as he did which left Quilriana taking a step back in shock and felt R’nya’s hold tighten to keep her from losing her balance.
